The Head of Developer Engagement will champion the developer experience across our Scrapy and Extract communities, ensuring they understand how Zyte can be used in their applications and use cases.
This role requires a visionary leader with a focused and comprehensive approach to community development. Collaborating closely with engineering, product, and marketing, you will highlight thought leadership, drive Zyte adoption, and cultivate a dynamic, engaged developer community around open-source projects and API integrations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategies to grow and nurture our developer community.
- Position our platform as the go-to destination for engineers and data enthusiasts.
- Act as the primary liaison between developers and internal teams to channel feedback for product improvements.
- Create and deliver demos, tutorials, and presentations to highlight product features, API integrations, and open-source initiatives.
- Work closely with engineering, product, and marketing teams to align community needs with business objectives.
- Work closely with the Developer Advocate, product managers, and engineering teams to ensure community feedback is incorporated into product development.
- Develop comprehensive resources (tutorials, documentation, and case studies) to educate developers on product usage, new features, and API integrations.
- Drive initiatives that elevate our brand as a trusted resource for technical solutions.
- Organize and lead community events, webinars, and workshops to foster learning and engagement
- Monitor and analyze community engagement metrics, using insights to refine strategies and improve overall developer experience.
- Remain current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to continuously refine our community engagement strategies.
- Balance hands-on developer advocacy with strategic oversight to ensure the community’s long-term growth and success.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in developer advocacy, community management, or related customer-facing technical roles.
- Strong technical background with familiarity in open source technologies and API integrations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for varied audiences.
- A proactive, customer-focused mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to think holistically about community building and drive initiatives that foster long-term engagement.
