The Role

About the Role


As the Head of Product Design at Gojek, you’ll lead the charge in shaping and evolving the design vision across our entire ecosystem of products. This is a pivotal role where you’ll drive Gojek’s design strategy, ensuring seamless and memorable experiences for millions of users across Southeast Asia. In the first six months, you’ll tackle the challenges of unifying design across diverse products, enhancing scalability through robust design systems, and fostering a team culture of creativity and innovation. Partnering with Product, Engineering, and Marketing leaders, you’ll ensure that Gojek’s design outcomes not only meet user and business needs but set industry standards for excellence.



What You Will Need

Experience: 10+ years in design, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, ideally within tech, mobility, or consumer-facing products (e.g., ride-hailing, food delivery, fintech, e-commerce).Leadership Skills: Proven ability to scale and lead design teams across multiple product areas and platforms, while inspiring cross-functional collaboration.Strategic Thinking: Strong track record of delivering impactful design solutions that balance user needs with business objectives at scale.Analytical Expertise: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.Innovation Focus: Ability to foster a culture of innovation, adaptability, and creativity in a fast-paced environment.Fast & Agile: Comfortable working in a dynamic, high-growth setting, with the ability to pivot and deliver under changing circumstances.Customer-Centric Mindset: Passion for delivering exceptional user experiences through innovative design and technology.Visionary Leadership: Ability to align and inspire teams around a shared vision while maintaining a hands-on approach to ensuring design excellence.

What You Will Do

  • Design Strategy & Vision: Define and execute design strategies that align with product goals, user needs, and brand identity.
  • Team Leadership & Growth: Build, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary design team, fostering creativity, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Brand Identity Development: Oversee brand elements—typography, iconography, tone, and more—to deliver a unified and distinctive user experience.
