Your Daily Tasks:
Team Leadership
- Oversee day-to-day activities, providing mentorship, guidance, and feedback.
- Cultivate a collaborative environment.
- Screen and onboard designers, manage schedules and resources.
- Guide career development and professional growth of your team members, conduct 1:1s.
- Organize team meetings and knowledge sharing.
Design & Delivery
- Participate in design strategy and lead key projects.
- Conduct client workshops (scoping projects, defining requirements, and creating PRDs).
- Collaborate with development on new processes and technologies, ensure design quality and consistency.
- Create, maintain and upgrade our design systems and style guides.
Client Collaboration
- Conduct discovery calls.
- Translate requirements into actionable design blueprints and estimations.
- Present design concepts, considering product vision, strategic objectives, development constraints, and client goals.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
Project Leadership
- Guide and motivate team members.
- Define timelines and optimize workload.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Project Management, Engineering, QA, Marketing) for seamless project delivery.
Strategic Thinking
- Stay up-to-date with design trends and technologies.
- Continuously improve design processes, incorporating best practices, enhancing UX, and using AI tools.
- Contribute to the company's design vision and strategy.
You’ll Be a Great Fit If You Have:
- Proven Experience: 5+ years of experience in a design leadership role, with a strong portfolio demonstrating a range of design skills (e.g., UX/UI, visual design, branding).
- Team Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing design team.
- Client Relationship and Sales Experience: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong client relationships.
- Design Expertise: Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and interaction design. Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, blender etc.).
- Project Leadership Skills: Experience in overseeing design projects from concept to launch, including planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically, identify opportunities, and drive innovation.
- Great communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bonus: Experience with US clients and working within an agency setting is a plus.
