Head of Data

Prezzee is looking for a Head of Data to lead the evolution of our data function and position data as a critical driver of business strategy, innovation, and customer value.

Reporting to the Chief Data and Innovation Officer, this role is central to shaping how data is embedded across the business—from operational decision-making to product development and customer insights. You’ll be responsible for building a high-performing team, developing forward-looking capabilities, and ensuring data is accessible, trusted, and used effectively at all levels of the organisation.

What you’ll be responsible for

• Developing and executing a data strategy that aligns with business priorities and enables long-term growth.
• Building and leading a cross-functional data team, developing talent and fostering a strong performance culture.
• Shaping a data-first mindset across the business, embedding data into everyday decisions and strategic planning.
• Driving governance and DataOps practices, ensuring quality, compliance, security, and scalability.
• Partnering with senior leaders to translate complex insights into clear direction and measurable outcomes.
• Leading the evolution of our data infrastructure and platforms, including our migration to Databricks.
• Driving innovation through advanced capabilities, including predictive analytics, machine learning, and CDP activation.
• Representing the Data function at executive level, contributing to strategic initiatives and investment planning.

About you

• Proven leadership experience building and scaling data functions in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments.
• Deep expertise in data engineering, governance, data platforms, and data architecture.
• Strong understanding of analytics, data science, and machine learning in commercial settings.
• Experience with cloud-based technologies and modern data tools (e.g., Databricks, Looker, Redshift).
• Strong communication and influencing skills, with a track record of engaging senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Strategic thinker who can move between high-level planning and execution as needed.
• Commercially focused, with a clear view of how data drives value across the business.
