Job Summary
The incumbent will be responsible for the management and control of the Custody Services business unit within Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB). The roles and responsibilities include client management and acquisition, deep industry insights, operational efficiency , service excellence, product and sales execution as well as managing the financial and operational performance of the business, setting strategic direction and maintaining competitive advantage.Job Description
Main accountabilities
- Accountable for management of the business by ensuring high levels of operational throughput and management of the Custody business (viz. Equities, Bonds, Money Markets, Corporate Actions).
- Delivering a unified and consistent Custody proposition that is required to meet domestic, Multi- domestic/Regional and Global Clients
- Devise and execute Custody sales strategy in collaboration with the Head of Cash Management and Head of Financial Institutions
- Optimize product capability and work closely with Transactional Banking and Global Markets Sales teams to secure support and sales prioritization for the business
- Delivers a compelling and insights-led Product Proposition offering that aligns to and enables CIB and customer strategies:
- Builds and sustains a culture that aligns to CIB’s aspirational colleague experience to deliver the target customer experience and financial performance.
- Accountable for ensuring an optimal and compliant control environment within the product that appropriately balance risk appetites and customer demand with the need to grow to achieve the financial ambitions and balance sheet aspirations of CIB.
Education and experience required
- University degree in Finance, Business, Banking or Accounting from a recognized institution.
- 10 - 15 years of relevant work experience in a Financial Institution
- Product Development and Management
- Managing large P&L’s in a Banking Environment
- Thorough understanding of markets instruments and Custody & Trustee business.
