Role Overview:
The Head of Creative Studio will be responsible for shaping and leading the newly established Creative and Ideation Team, a multidisciplinary group focused on delivering cutting-edge creative solutions powered by Genius Sports’ award-winning technology. This individual will work across Augmentation Broadcast Solutions, Dynamic Video, and Creative Services to craft impactful campaigns and brand experiences.
You will serve as the creative force behind strategic pitches and campaigns, partnering with global brands, broadcasters, agencies, and sports rights holders to design powerful storytelling concepts that connect fans with the world of sports in new and engaging ways.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Creative Leadership
- Build and lead the Creative Studio team (initially 10–15 members) across design, video, content, and ideation.
- Drive creative strategy that unifies Augmented Broadcast, Dynamic Video, and broader Creative Services.
- Lead ideation sessions and workshops that produce high-impact concepts for brand, agency, and broadcaster partners.
- Translate business and marketing challenges into powerful creative narratives and activations using Genius Sports’ technology.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a senior creative consultant to key partners, helping them explore the art of the possible using our tools and platforms.
- Present campaign ideas, prototypes, and mock-ups to C-level stakeholders and brand leads with clarity and vision.
- Partner with commercial and marketing teams to bring to life high-converting, fan-first creative experiences.
Execution & Delivery
- Oversee execution of creative projects from pitch through to delivery, ensuring world-class quality.
- Manage internal workflows, resourcing, and project prioritization across the studio team.
- Collaborate with product, data, and broadcast engineering teams to integrate creative with cutting-edge tech.
About You
Experience & Background
- 10+ years of experience in senior creative roles at top-tier New York-based advertising or creative agencies.
- Demonstrated success leading integrated campaigns across digital, video, and experiential.
- Experience working with global consumer brands or sports entities is a strong advantage.
- Track record of managing creative teams and developing junior talent in fast-paced environments.
Skills & Attributes
- Inspirational creative thinker with a deep understanding of storytelling, brand building, and audience engagement.
- Technically curious and excited by emerging media and innovation in the sports space.
- Adept at pitching, client engagement, and navigating complex stakeholder environments.
- Strong visual aesthetic, concept development, and presentation skills.
What’s in it for you?
The salary for this role is based on an annualized salary of up to $230,000 per annum depending on relevant experience. This role will also be eligible to take part in Genius Sports Group's benefits plan.
