Shape the creative future of P&O Cruises

What does a holiday brand look and feel like when every detail matters?

At P&O Cruises, we're evolving our brand and we're looking for an exceptional creative leader to help shape what comes next.

As Head of Creative & Content, you'll be the creative authority for P&O Cruises, setting the direction for how our brand looks, sounds and comes to life across every guest touchpoint.

This is a role for someone who doesn't just manage creative delivery. You'll define the creative ambition, challenge the thinking, set the standards and inspire others to deliver work that people remember.

From our visual identity and tone of voice to our brochures, onboard experience, campaigns, photography, film and digital content, you'll help create a distinctive and consistent P&O Cruises brand expression across our entire guest journey.

And you'll have the influence to make it happen.

What you'll be doing

You'll lead the creative and content vision for P&O Cruises, working closely with our Brand, Marketing, Commercial, Product and Guest Experience teams, alongside leading creative and specialist agency partners.

Set the creative direction

Be the senior creative voice for the brand, shaping the creative expression of P&O Cruises and ensuring every piece of work feels distinctive, relevant and unmistakably us.

Evolve our visual identity

Lead the development and evolution of our visual identity alongside specialist agencies and our internal teams, ensuring our brand continues to stand out and reflects our evolving positioning across every touchpoint.

Define how the brand communicates

Own and evolve our tone of voice and creative guidelines, giving internal teams and agencies the clarity and confidence to bring the brand to life consistently.

Shape the guest experience

Lead the creative direction of major brand touchpoints, including our brochure and onboard communications across our fleet of seven ships. You'll bring together creative ambition, guest insight and operational reality to create experiences that work.

Lead content and production

Oversee the development of high-quality photography, film, creative, copy, animation, digital content, toolkits and other core brand assets.

Be the creative partner to the business

Work with senior stakeholders to turn commercial and customer challenges into compelling creative solutions — challenging briefs where needed and making sure creativity has a clear purpose.

Lead our agency ecosystem

Manage a network of creative, design, production and content agencies. You'll set clear briefs, challenge proposals, manage budgets and make sure we're getting the right creative thinking and value from every partnership.

Build a high-performing creative team

Lead, coach and develop a team of six, creating an environment where great creative thinking, collaboration and constructive challenge thrive.

Protect the brand without holding it back

Be the ultimate guardian of how P&O Cruises is expressed. Establish clear, practical guidelines, develop brand training and create effective approval and governance processes that protect the brand while allowing teams to move quickly.

This isn't just about managing creative.

We're looking for someone who can lead creative from the front.

Someone who can look at a brief and see the opportunity others haven't.

Someone who can develop a creative idea, articulate why it works, bring stakeholders with them and then hold the creative standard all the way through to execution.

You'll be comfortable moving between the big picture and the detail  from defining a visual identity to challenging the treatment of a single campaign asset

You'll know when to push back, when to collaborate and when to let great creative people do what they do best

Most importantly, you'll bring creative authority, commercial understanding and strong leadership

What you'll bring

We're particularly interested in people with experience across creative direction, brand, design, content or creative studios, whether you've developed your career within an agency, a major consumer brand or a combination of both.

Operating at Senior manager level you will bring:

• Significant senior-level experience leading creative strategy and creative direction within a consumer-facing brand or agency environment.

• A proven track record of developing or evolving visual identities and creative brand systems.

• Experience setting creative direction, design principles, tone of voice and brand guidelines.

• Strong experience leading the creative development of multi-channel creative, content and communications.

• Experience overseeing major brand assets such as brochures, campaigns, photography, film, digital content or customer communications.

• Experience working across complex customer journeys or multiple physical and digital touchpoints.

• The ability to confidently present and sell creative ideas to senior stakeholders, bringing people with you while protecting the quality of the work.

• Experience managing creative agencies, production partners and significant budgets would be advantageous.

• A strong understanding of how great creative builds brand and contributes to commercial performance.

• Experience leading, coaching and developing creative and content teams.

• Excellent judgement, communication and stakeholder management skills.

A formal qualification in Creative, Design, Marketing, Brand or a related discipline is welcome, but we're equally interested in the depth and quality of your experience and portfolio.

You don't need to have worked in cruise or travel, it helps but we want to hear from people who have created standout work for ambitious experience led consumer brands and are excited by the opportunity to apply that experience to P&O Cruises.

This is an opportunity to have a genuinely visible impact on the UK’s leading cruise brand.
