Key Objective of Role

Strategic Business Partnership

The Head of Country Finance (HOCF), Indonesia will serve as a trusted business partner to commercial leaders, working directly with teams to provide financial insights that drive decision-making on new product introductions, including investment evaluation, costing, pricing, and margin analysis. This role requires building deep understanding of product opportunities and translating complex financial analysis into clear, actionable recommendations for business partners and senior leadership.

 

Financial Planning & Analysis

The HOCF, Indonesia will lead comprehensive financial processes across multiple business units, including forecasting, reporting, budgeting, and tracking risks and opportunities. Responsibilities include preparing management reports with detailed interpretation of results, forward projections, and variance analysis against budgets and forecasts. The role involves developing robust financial models that support business planning through scenario analysis, viability assessments, and what-if modeling. This role will build and maintain product costing and forecasting models for new launches, analyzing profitability of newly launched projects against expectations and supporting the annual budgeting cycle across FP&A and commercial functions.

 

Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence

This individual will influence cross-functional teams on project prioritization, helping deliver against financial targets and guiding remediation when needed. The HOCF will prepare and present phase gate presentations alongside commercial teams, providing detailed plans supported by financial metrics. Success requires establishing and reviewing financial and non-financial KPIs that drive business performance.

 

Process Excellence & Innovation

The role demands identifying and implementing process improvements cross-functionally, streamlining workflows, and ensuring projects adhere to approved benchmarks. Beyond managing existing processes, the HOCF must bring creative, outside-the-box thinking while resolving complex technical, operational, and organizational challenges across SEEK.

 

Line Management & Team Development

The HOCF will directly manage a Finance Business Partner, providing leadership, coaching, and ongoing development. This includes setting clear objectives, conducting regular performance conversations, delegating effectively, and creating growth opportunities that build technical and commercial capabilities. The role requires strong people leadership skills to motivate, inspire, and develop talent while maintaining accountability to high performance standards.

 

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • MBA or equivalent in Business Management, International Business, Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of 10-12 years post qualifying experience in a large corporate preferably with diverse presence in Asia Pacific countries
  • Previous experience in a multi-national setting in a similar role that requires strong understanding of financial controls, accounting, reporting and business partnering.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present financial information and analysis to various audiences in a manner that ensures their understanding
  • Experienced in phase-gate review processes for new product launches
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging work environment, whilst prioritising tasks and applying high levels of attention to detail.
  • High level literacy, numeracy and problem-solving skills, including intermediate computer skills (including use of Microsoft Office Excel, PowerBI, Tableau and PowerPoint).

Skills Required
