As an independent and objective assurance and advisory function, Corporate Audit performs internal audits worldwide across all divisions and regions of the Daimler Truck Group to assess internal controls and processes regarding compliance with applicable laws and regulations, adherence to policies and guidelines as well as the effectiveness of operations and administration.

 

You will lead a global team of about 50 highly motivated and qualified team members located in Leinfelden and Portland, Oregan USA. Our auditors have in-depth understanding of the business culture, systems and processes. Our common goal is to support the Daimler Truck in accomplishing its objectives by providing a systematic approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of risk management, control environment and processes.

 

As Chief Audit Executive (CAE), you assume overall leadership and responsibility for the Corporate Audit department, including SpeakUp & Investigations for Daimler Truck AG and the Daimler Truck Group, in compliance with professional standards for internal auditing (particularly IIA and DIIR).

 

You manage financial, personnel, and technological resources to ensure the effectiveness of Internal Audit.

Responsibilities

What You Can Expect / Main Challenges:

 

  • Development and implementation of the audit strategy, including the definition of performance goals (KPIs) to manage the department in alignment with the strategic objectives of the Daimler Truck Group.

  • Coordination of expectations with the Management Board and Audit Committee. Compliance with IIA/DIIR standards.

  • Providing relevant information to the Management Board and Audit Committee to enable them to fulfill their management and supervisory duties.

  • Presentation of audit results in Executive Committees and Audit Committee, as well as sharing best practices with senior management.

  • Regular exchange with the external auditor to coordinate the risk situation of the Daimler Truck Group and planned audit activities.

  • Establishment of a quality assurance program and regular reporting of the results to the Management Board and Audit Committee. Approval of measures for the further development of audit processes and methodology.

  • The central task of the Chief Audit Executive is to lead, motivate, and support both the direct employees and the entire Corporate Audit team based on the Great Leadership principles of Daimler Truck AG.
