Responsibilities
Technology Strategy & IT Operations
- Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of IT operations, enterprise applications, and technology services.
- Ensure technology solutions are implemented effectively, securely, and in alignment with business requirements.
- Drive improvements in technology quality, reliability, efficiency, and service delivery.
IT Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Establish and strengthen IT governance frameworks, policies, standards, and operating practices.
- Ensure effective management of technology risks, compliance, controls, and IT resources.
- Oversee IT services and infrastructure to ensure alignment with business objectives and organisational priorities.
Data & Analytics
- Lead the organisation’s data and analytics agenda to enable data-driven decision-making and business intelligence.
- Drive the development of analytics dashboards, reporting solutions, data platforms, and relevant performance metrics.
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities where data and analytics can improve business performance and decision-making.
Oracle Practice
- Lead the organisation’s Oracle technology practice and strategic relationship with Oracle.
- Oversee the selection, implementation, enhancement, and support of Oracle products and solutions.
- Provide technology direction and recommendations to ensure Oracle solutions meet business and operational requirements.
Application Development & Support
- Provide strategic direction for the design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise applications.
- Ensure application development practices deliver scalable, secure, user-centric, and high-quality solutions.
- Drive improvements in development lifecycle, delivery speed, application quality, and interoperability.
Technology & Best Practices
- Monitor emerging technologies, industry trends, and technology best practices.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, platforms, and solutions that can enhance business capabilities and user experience.
- Promote technology standards and best practices across the organisation.
Digital Transformation & Change
- Lead technology-driven transformation initiatives and foster a culture of digital adoption and innovation.
- Develop and implement enterprise-wide initiatives that build digital capabilities, technology awareness, and future-ready skillsets.
- Act as a key technology leader in enabling organisational change and transformation.
Innovation
- Drive the development of core technology innovation capabilities across the organisation.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities to leverage emerging technologies to enhance products, services, processes, and business models.
- Encourage experimentation, new ways of working, and technology-enabled innovation.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Build strong strategic relationships with senior internal stakeholders, technology partners, vendors, and industry networks.
- Represent the organisation in technology-related engagements and maintain awareness of industry developments.
- Manage key technology partnerships to maximise value, capability, and business outcomes.
Continuous Improvement
- Establish technology performance metrics and use data-driven insights to identify improvement opportunities.
- Drive initiatives that improve operational efficiency, service quality, cost effectiveness, system performance, and customer experience.
- Continuously review technology processes and capabilities to ensure they remain fit for purpose and future-ready.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- More than 10 years of relevant experience in technology, IT, digital transformation, or related fields, with at least 7 years in a leadership role driving digital innovation and transformation within a large-scale organisation.
- Proven track record in leading enterprise-wide digital transformation, technology innovation, and strategic technology initiatives.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing technology investments, vendors, strategic partnerships, and operational performance.
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
- More than 10 years of relevant experience in technology, IT, digital transformation, or related fields
- At least 7 years in a leadership role driving digital innovation and transformation within a large-scale organisation
- Proven track record in leading enterprise-wide digital transformation, technology innovation, and strategic technology initiatives
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing technology investments, vendors, strategic partnerships, and operational performance
