What you'll do
- Develop and execute a compelling organic content strategy with a primary focus on social video (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok) while incorporating editorial storytelling.
- Lead a high-performing content team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and innovation.
- Stay culturally connected across music, entertainment, and broader creative industries to ensure Sofar remains at the forefront of conversation.
- Be hands-on and lead by example—whether it's ideating new formats, directing a shoot, or optimizing content for engagement.
- Experiment with new content formats, trends, and storytelling approaches** to continuously evolve Sofar’s presence and audience impact.
- Oversee production of content that brings the Sofar Sounds experience to life, including artist performances, behind-the-scenes stories, and community-driven narratives.
- Develop a commercially-minded content strategy, creating brand-aligned partnership opportunities that drive revenue while maintaining authenticity.
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, partnerships, and city teams to ensure content supports broader business objectives.
- Maintain an organized and efficient content operation, managing workflows, budgets, and timelines effectively.

Preferred experience
- 7+ years of experience in content strategy, video production, or social media, ideally within the music, entertainment, or media industry.
- Proven track record of growing audiences and engagement across social platforms.
- Experience developing and executing branded content partnerships.
- Strong understanding of video production, editing, and storytelling best practices.
- Familiarity with analytics tools to measure content performance and optimize strategy.
