About this opportunity
We are seeking a senior communications leader to shape and deliver a world-class communications strategy for Ericsson's Business Area Networks (BNEW). As Head of Communications, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for employee communications, executive communications, media and analyst relations and strategic narrative development. This role combines strategic vision with hands-on delivery and requires close collaboration with senior executives and deep sector knowledge of telecom and enterprise B2B ecosystems.
What you will do• Serve as senior communications advisor to the Executive Vice President of Ericsson Networks and his leadership team.• Manage executive communication and visibility across owned, earned and paid channels.• Design and deliver integrated internal communications (e.g., employee meetings, intranet, leader and change comms) to engage and align employees with strategy and product roadmaps.• Lead business area media and industry analyst relations with proactive and reactive strategies; build strong relationships both globally and regionally. • Manage crisis and issue communications with speed and accuracy across all audiences.• Define and deploy BNEW's strategic narrative to position Ericsson Networks as a leader in 5G, 6G and AI.• Translate technical and commercial priorities into clear, audience-specific messages. To successfully do so in our business, stakeholder group understanding and customization is key. • Lead, mentor and grow a cross-disciplinary communications team; set objectives, measure impact, manage budget and agency relationships; ensure agile delivery and governance across regions and cross functional stakeholders.
You will bring• 12+ years of progressive communications experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (head of function or similar). Strong track record in both internal and external communications.• Proven experience in enterprise B2B, telecoms, technology or adjacent sectors.• Experience of working effectively in large global organizations, including working closely with C-suite stakeholders and cross-functionally. • Crisis communications experience and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.• Exceptional writing, storytelling and messaging skills with the ability to translate complex technical topics into clear business narratives.• Relevant degree in business, communications, journalism, or equivalent experience.• Native level English skills.
