They are currently seeking a Head of Commercial Department to oversee commercial operations, contract and tender management, business development, financial analysis, and supplier negotiations, with a strong focus on HVAC and Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) contracting services.
Job Responsibilities1. Contract and Tender Management
- Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts, tenders, and commercial agreements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and client specifications.
2. Market Research and Business Development
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify business opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry stakeholders.
- Support project pricing strategies and cost estimation.
3. Sales and Financial Analysis
- Prepare quotations, commercial proposals, and tender submissions.
- Analyze project costs, revenue forecasts, and financial performance.
- Ensure accurate commercial documentation, invoicing, and payment tracking.
4. Supplier and Procurement Management
- Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to optimize costs and service delivery.
- Monitor procurement and supply chain activities to support timely project execution.
- Bachelor's degree (BSc) in Quantity Surveying or Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a similar commercial role.
- At least 3 years of middle or senior management experience within an MEP contracting firm, as part of the 10 years of experience.
- Experience in HVAC and Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) services is highly desirable.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, contract management, and financial modelling.
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Engineering
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a similar commercial role
- At least 3 years of middle or senior management experience within an MEP contracting firm
- Experience in HVAC and Mechanical and Electrical services
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
