JOB PURPOSE
Are you passionate, driven and creative? Are you eager to work on one of the fastest growing start-up brand in the US? We are looking for the best marketing candidate to drive the commercial strategy for the retail division, while strategically aligning with direct-to-consumer initiatives to achieve holistic business growth for the WILD business in the US.
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Lead Director to lead the WILD business in the US, including natural and scent-sational deodorants, body wash, haircare and lip balm.
This is a high visibility role globally and offers plenty of scope for independent brand and team stewardship, strategic leadership, and creativity. It requires a seasoned leader, innovator, with a business mind and an individual who’s passionate about brand development.
WHAT YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE
- Full ownership of the Retail P&L, responsible for driving exponential growth whilst continually optimizing profitability.
- Responsible for driving the commercial strategy for the retail division, while strategically aligning with direct-to-consumer initiatives to achieve holistic business growth.
- Owning the planning cycle and strategic direction of the retail arm of Wild getting buy-in from the leadership team and board.
- Building high level relationships with major decision makers at all key strategic partners and supporting the controllers to build their networks and impact across key accounts.
- Lead the development and execution of commercial strategies to drive brand awareness and growth within retail.
- Utilize extensive experience to mentor and empower a young leadership team, fostering the development of company culture and driving progress towards organizational goals.
- Set targets to increase visibility of retail across the company and using KPIs to drive team performance.
- Use category data and insights to drive sell-in of Wild across existing and new partners. Always looking for data and insights that can help propel the Wild story and position us at the forefront of the global refill revolution.
- Developing our shopper marketing plan to help grow ROS and exposure across our store footprint.
- Developing a lean and entrepreneurial team ensuring Wild can deliver its growth ambitions.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Experiences & Qualifications
- 12+ years of Marketing experience, Foods or well-rounded CPG experience preferred
- A proven track record of brand development/innovation program leadership – both core/renovation and new products/white space development
- Leading integrated communication programs, including the development of outstanding campaign rooted in social-first capabilities
- Drive for our digital transformation to adopt AI capabilities and new agency partnership models. Natural curiosity for emerging trends and technologies a must.
- Deep experience working with traditional and digital agencies to develop world class programs
- Financial acumen to own your P&L, understand how value is created through the brand, and shape growth plans
- Passionate about developing talent and teams, while both holding the bar high for performance and creating a psychologically safe environment
- Demonstrated passion for consumers we serve. Experience developing insight though consumer intimacy and translating such into business initiatives.
- Building strong cross-functional network to deliver through an extended team – welcoming category strategy, R&D, and supply chain voices to the table for effective collaboration
- Food industry experience a plus
- Sales and/or general management experience a plus
- WILD Experience Preferred
Pay: The pay range for this position is $221,100 to $386,925. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
Long-Term Incentive (LTI) This position is LTI eligible.
