This is a hybrid position based in either the Kansas City, MO or Memphis, TN metropolitan areas.
Job Description
The Head of Channel Marketing will drive the implementation of business and brand strategies across the selling teams and builder networks for BBNA’s portfolio of building brands (Butler and Varco Pruden), with a focus on sales effectiveness and builder development, to enable the adoption and growth of its building solutions. Managing a team structured on focused growth, this position will work to ensure effective integration and smooth implementation of brand and segment strategies, while leading programmatic campaigns and promotions to penetrate new markets and grow mindshare and share of wallet within our channel.
Sitting at the intersection of strategy, commercialization and general management, the role requires someone that can flawlessly execute and drive focused and clear results, that impact BBNA’s business and the business of our partners.
Responsibilities
- Leads Strategy Implementation: Leads implementation and operationalization of established brand and segment strategies across our brand sales teams and builder channels, targeting adoption and growth of our offerings and solutions.
- Leads Sales Tools Framework: Designs and delivers a comprehensive framework of sales tools to support the sales process and customer buying journey, ensuring a purpose for every tool, and a tool for every purpose, aligning these to our value propositions, and delivering consistency and scale in our positioning, messaging, and reach.
- Leads Campaign Planning: Leads efforts to create a calendar of campaigns, promotions, and sales incentives for each brand, ensuring an ‘always on’ approach to priming the channel, and our target end markets with reasons to engage, lean-in, and keep our solutions front of mind. This includes working directly with our digital demand center to develop cross-channel strategies.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Partners with segment and digital leaders to implement channel-focused launches of new solutions, services, and technology updates, overseeing detailed planning and related builder channel communications to achieve desired goals.
- Brand President Collaboration: Collaborates with brand presidents to ensure buy-in on all activities, and alignment to brand sales and builder development goals.
- Analyzes Data: Analyzes market data, trends, and customer preferences to optimize marketing strategies, working with our data insights to identify top opportunities and coordinate action plans.
- Leads Partnership and Loyalty: Leads loyalty program development to drive significant alignment between our builders and our strategic priorities, working closely with our digital demand center across physical and digital experiences.
- Leads Channel Team: Leads channel marketing team and ensures full integration of people and work into our channel and selling efforts, and centralized strategic marketing organization.
- Defines Success Measures: Works to define measures and KPI’s, targeting efficiencies, effectiveness, and overall business impact.
Qualifications
Education/Experience
- BA degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. Postgraduate qualifications preferred.
- 10+ years’ experience developing and implementing go-to-market strategies at a product, category, and segment level, with examples of integrated success. P+L familiarity preferred.
- Experience of managing global brands, driving centralized strategies at a portfolio level.
- Strong understanding of B2B marketing, in a matrix organization, working through a third-party distribution network of builders or dealers.
- Extensive experience in marketing planning and campaign development and execution, evaluating commercial impact through physical and digital approaches.
- Experience in outbound and digital demand strategies, tools, and technologies, using campaigns to create pull through into sales funnel, and to support agreed commercial goals.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, creatively problem solve, learn on the fly, and work with all levels in the organization, including executive leadership.
- Proven ability to build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions.
- Ability to manage external agency relationships and internal shared services teams across the full marketing mix.
- Excellent written communication skills and well-honed presentation skills.
- Operates effectively, even when things are not certain, or the way forward is not clear.
- Plans and prioritizes work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.
- Data-driven leader who leans heavily on KPIs (key performance indicators) and opportunity analysis to identify their next best action and challenges the status quo. Demonstrated and proven ability to drive measurable outcomes through modern marketing practices.
- Exceptional proven collaboration with Sales and Marketing organizations. Able to work within a centralized strategic marketing team, effectively influencing strategies, initiatives, and decisions in other areas.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Ability to travel 20% of the time.
