As a Head of Centre of Expertise Aseptic Processes Global Technical Operations (Manufacturing Technology & Science), you will be responsible for managing a team of experts establishing and leading global standards and capabilities for aseptic practices across the network.

The COE leads global subject‑matter experts (SME) and partners with manufacturing site experts, Quality Control, QA, Engineering, R&D, and external partners. The mission includes process standardization, lifecycle management, technical stewardship, technology transfer support, and global capability.

Your day at Ferring

  • Define a global roadmap for aseptic practices improvement, jointly with other COEs, site experts, QA, Engineering

  • Monitor the aseptic performance across the network (eg., deviations, audit gaps)

  • Lead some remediation or improvement programs, eg., cost improvement initiatives

  • Develop and harmonize global standards, risk assessmen

  • Provide expert guidance or lead for tech transfer, complex deviations, process and method investigations, change controls, inspection, eg., review protocols or reports, define validation strategy

  • Lead communities of practice (COP). Leverage COPs to increase capability across the network

  • Drive benchmarking and continuous improvement internally and externally

  • Manage priorities, capacity and performance for the COE. Ensure the team has a robust individual development plan

  • Technical expertise in aseptic processes and associated analytical methods.  Experience in process or method development, validation, or lifecycle management.

  • Strategic planning and governance capabilities.

  • Stakeholder management across operations, QA/QC, RA, and R&D,

  • Data-driven mindset; familiarity with digital tools, automation, modeling, and PAT.

  • Ability to manage multidisciplinary and multicultural global teams.

  • Creates alignment across sites and functions; drives simplification and standardization.

  • Promotes scientific excellence, quality culture, and continuous improvement.

  • Builds a collaborative, inclusive, development-oriented environment for technical talent.

  • Management experience, with focus on team development

Education and qualification

  • Master’s or PhD in Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Technology, Analytical Chemistry, Bioprocessing, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/chemical industry, with aseptic manufacturing experience

  • Strong experience with GMP, regulatory requirements, data integrity, and CMC lifecycle management.

  • Familiarity with complex products (biologics, peptides, sterile injectables) is a plus.

Skills Required
