The Role

We are looking for a sharp, structured, and outcome-driven Head of Business Performance & Execution to help Babbel operate at its best. 

In this senior role, you’ll be responsible for how we translate strategy into action — leading our OKR and business review processes, ensuring operational follow-through, and enabling high-priority cross-functional initiatives to succeed. You’ll also manage a small but mighty team of project managers and operational problem-solvers, helping the organization set up the right governance, metrics, and systems for performance.

This is a highly cross-functional role with exposure to Executive leadership and impact across both B2C and B2B.

You will:

  • Lead Babbel’s strategic planning & performance cadence — including OKRs, target-setting, and Management Business Reviews.
  • Provide a clear view of company-wide execution — tracking progress, risks, and interdependencies across teams.
  • Partner with Finance, Product, and Data to ensure high-quality performance insights drive business decisions.
  • Manage and grow a team of project managers / business operators, responsible for solving cross-cutting challenges (e.g. launching steering committees, rolling out metrics frameworks like DORA, optimizing org-wide processes).
  • Run a lightweight, scalable PMO layer, supporting prioritization, initiative tracking, and operational governance.
  • Create the structure and tooling for better decision-making and follow-through — without unnecessary process overhead.
  • Be a thought partner to senior leaders across the business, helping them connect strategy, people, and performance.

You have:

  • 6+ years in Business Operations, Strategy, PMO, or Performance roles in tech/scale-ups
  • Experience leading cross-functional execution and/or company-wide planning cycles (OKRs, quarterly business reviews, strategic initiative tracking)
  • Strong people leadership skills — able to coach, delegate, and mobilize others
  • Exceptional clarity and structure in both thinking and communication
  • Comfort with data, dashboards, and decision-support frameworks — ideally with experience working alongside Analytics or FP&A teams
  • Track record of setting up governance (e.g. steering committees, program tracking, metric frameworks)
  • Comfortable balancing long-term thinking with day-to-day business realities
  • Bonus points: Familiarity with DORA metrics, agile ops at scale, or hybrid B2B/B2C environments
