General Accountability:
We are seeking a highly strategic and organized professional to serve as Head of Business Management, CEO Office for our Wealth and Asset Management business in Asia. Reporting directly to the Head of Wealth & Asset Management, Asia (Asia GWAM CEO), this senior leadership role acts as a central coordination point for Asia GWAM CEO priorities—driving performance monitoring, strategic execution, and operational alignment across the region.
The incumbent will lead a high-performing team, including the Director, Business Management, CEO Office, Director, Project Management, CEO Office and Senior Manager, Business Analyst, CEO Office while coordinating with the Head of Strategy and Head of Competitive Intelligence. This role ensures end-to-end execution of key initiatives, manages critical workflows, and fosters collaboration across business channels, finance, and operations to support the Asia GWAM CEO’s strategic agenda. The incumbent will be part of the Asia GWAM Leadership Team.
Position Responsibilities:
CEO Office Management & Executive Support
- Serve as a trusted partner and right hand to the Asia GWAM CEO, translating strategic objectives into actionable workstreams.
- Coordinate Asia GWAM CEO communications, internal governance, and external engagements to ensure alignment and follow-through.
- Oversee executive deliverables, briefings, board updates, and Asia GWAM CEO event planning through collaboration with the Senior Manager, Business Analyst, CEO Office.
- Track commitments and ensure timely execution across the leadership team.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead and manage a team of three direct reports: Director, Business Management, CEO Office, Director, Project Management, CEO Office and Senior Manager, Business Analyst, CEO Office. Coordinate closely with the Head of Strategy and Head of Competitive Intelligence to integrate strategic insights and market intelligence into Asia GWAM CEO decision-making.
- Partner with senior business leaders, market GWAM CEOs, Finance, Operations, and HR to align priorities and facilitate cross-functional initiatives.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Strategic Initiatives & Project Oversight
- Drive the planning and execution of high-impact strategic and cross-functional projects.
- Ensure that initiatives are aligned with long-term business strategy, with a focus on scalability and operational effectiveness.
- Provide guidance on scope, goals, deliverables, risks, and change management for key initiatives.
- Monitor progress and outcomes, resolving roadblocks and escalating risks as needed.
Performance Monitoring & Business Reviews
- Oversee the development of business review materials and performance dashboards tracking financial KPIs, market share, and productivity metrics.
- Align performance data with Asia GWAM CEO priorities to support transparent and data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure strategic and operational inputs from all functions are integrated into planning cycles and performance assessments.
Expense Management & Operational Efficiency
- Support disciplined cost management and identify areas for efficiency improvement across markets and channels.
- Partner with Finance to ensure accurate expense attribution and maintain effective cost controls.
- Oversee optimization of direct and allocated expenses in alignment with strategic and budgetary goals.
- Lead performance and productivity initiatives in collaboration with relevant functional heads.
Required/Preferred Qualifications:
- 15 years of experience in asset and wealth management, consulting, corporate strategy, or executive operations, ideally within the Asia region.
- Proven success managing complex, cross-functional initiatives and engaging senior stakeholders.
- Experience with multi-market and multi-business lines business.
- Strong understanding of financial services business drivers, competitive dynamics, and performance metrics.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, build executive alignment, and manage sensitive, high-stakes priorities with discretion.
- Strategic thinker with exceptional organizational, communication, and analytical skills. Ability to make controversial recommendations anchored on facts, detailed analysis, and feedback.
- Experience in finance functions is a plus.
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
