Responsibilities

Managerial Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and and manage the automation program to deliver scalable automation solutions aligned to business strategy.
  2. Foster a culture of innovation, agility and continuous improvement across automation initiatives. 
  3. Evaluate solutions and build business cases. 
  4. Collaborate with stakeholders (internal and external) to prioritize automation opportunities and ensure governance.
  5. Manage vendor relationships and ensure delivery quality across automation platforms and tools. 
  6. Review architecture and ensure alignment to the regulatory and statutory obligations. 

Functional Responsibilities:

  1. Strategize, plan and implement automation solutions using RPA platforms, orchestrators and generative AI to streamline IT and business processes. 
  2. Identify high-impact use cases by collaborating with business and technology teams and define scalable automation architectures. 
  3. Integrate automation workflows with enterprise systems using APIs, event-driven models, and orchestration frameworks. 
  4. Establish governance for automation lifecycle, including exception handling, version control and audit readiness. 
  5. Monitor automation performance, ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., RBI) and drive continuous improvement. 
  6. Ensure documentation, KT and dashboards to track automation metrics, adoption and business impact.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master’s degree or specialization in automation, AI or systems engineering is a plus.

Certifications: Certifications in Project Management, Automation platforms (ServiceNow, Microsoft Dynamics, UI path etc). 

Service Now / UI Path Certified Professional, Automation Anywhere Advanced RPA Professional would be a plus.

Min Exp: 18 years

Max Exp: 24 years

Experience in running Automation programmes across the bank along with understanding of the underlying technologies.
Proven expertise in automation strategy, RPA implementation, and orchestration. 
Experience in BFSI or regulated industries is preferred, with a strong understanding of compliance, risk, and audit requirements.

Deep understanding of banking processes (from onboarding to operations). Exposure to Retail and Wholesale banking is a plus.

Exposure to AI/ML frameworks and generative AI platforms is desirable

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Master's degree or specialization in automation, AI or systems engineering.
  • Certifications in Project Management, Automation platforms (ServiceNow, Microsoft Dynamics, UI path, etc).
