The Assignment

As the Head of Bid Management, you will play a crucial role in driving Valiantys' success by overseeing the end-to-end bid management process. Your primary purpose is to ensure that high-quality, competitive bids are produced efficiently and on time, which will enhance the company’s ability to win new contracts. You will be instrumental in aligning bid strategies with business goals and leading the team to continuously improve bidding capabilities.


Things you will be working on

People Management:

· Lead the Bid Management team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and support for effective performance. 

· Foster a culture of continuous learning and skill enhancement to maintain the team’s competitive edge.

· Manage both the day-to-day and long-term capacity of the team, ensuring effective resource allocation to meet fluctuating demands.

Bid Delivery: 

· Ensure the Bid Management team consistently delivers high-quality proposals and bids within the required timelines and standards.

· Collaborate closely with the sales team to anticipate proposal requests, participate in sales sign-on processes, and contribute valuable insights to enhance bid success.

· Engage with senior stakeholders to ensure their input supports the timely and effective production of competitive bids.

· Balance resourcing commitments to maintain a high level of service and maximize business opportunities.

Process & Quality Compliance: 

· Develop and manage efficient and effective processes for proposal and bid management.

· Regularly review and refine bid management processes to improve efficiency and outcomes.

· Ensure adherence to quality and audit requirements, including the completion and closure of any audit actions.

· Oversee the quality of all bids produced by the team, setting clear objectives, prioritizing tasks, and maintaining rigorous standards in bid preparation and submission.

Continuous Improvement: 

· Lead initiatives to challenge existing processes and implement changes that enhance the team’s capacity, capability, and efficiency.

· Promote the team’s achievements and bid management initiatives across the organization to ensure recognition and support.


What you need to be successful

· Strong leadership and people management skills to effectively lead and develop the Bid Management team.

· In-depth understanding of bid management processes and the ability to refine and improve these processes.

· Excellent collaboration skills to work closely with the sales team, senior management, and external partners.

· Ability to balance resourcing commitments and manage the team’s capacity effectively.

· Commitment to maintaining high standards in bid quality and compliance with audit requirements.

· A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to lead change initiatives that enhance team performance and efficiency.

 

And you are

The Head of Bid Management, reporting to the VP of Sales for EMEA. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, including the sales team and senior management, as well as external partners, to ensure successful bid management and delivery.

 

Location 

This role is fully remote and business travel may be required.
