In this senior executive role, you will act as the overall risk owner and strategic leader for Wise’s global bank accounts, banking partner access, and master data framework. Sitting within the Treasury team, you will drive the vision for end-to-end access governance, collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Corporate Security to build and enforce controls aligned with global IAM standards, and act as a market best practice navigator for these cross-functional teams while scaling a team dedicated to eliminating operational risk exposure and ensuring strict Segregation of Duties (SoD).

Your mission:

  • Strategic Governance & Mandate Oversight: Define and enforce the global strategy for bank account mandates, delegation of authority frameworks, and corporate legal resolutions across 150+ international banking partners.

  • Control Frameworks & Access Architecture: Architect and scale global access controls, Segregation of Duties (SoD) policies, and enterprise-wide approval mechanisms across Payment Ops, Expansion, and Treasury operations, partnering directly with Product Managers, Engineers, and Corporate Security to enforce global IAM standards and navigate market best practices.

  • Master Data & Recertification Strategy: Drive comprehensive governance over partner details, bank account master data, signatories, and periodic access recertifications, significantly mitigating operational risk exposure globally.

  • Cross-Functional Navigation & Audit Leadership: Align senior leadership, internal risk teams, SOX leads, and external regulators on key control processes and internal control effectiveness.

  • Banking Access Control Partnerships: Establish high-level operational alignment with global banking institution security and administration leadership to govern access models and signatory standards.

Qualifications

About you:

  • Treasury Operations Leadership: 10+ years driving strategic Treasury Operations, Bank Access Controls, or Payment Risk Governance within global fintechs or multinational institutions.

  • GRC & Governance Controls: Proven track record designing enterprise-wide financial control frameworks, managing SOX risk strategies, and embedding robust Segregation of Duties (SoD).

  • Mandate Analysis & Legal Literacy: Ability to interpret corporate legal resolutions, power-of-attorney documents, and complex banking authorization matrices.

  • Team Leadership: Demonstrated success building, scaling, and leading high-performing teams across diverse international regions, navigating complex cross-functional stakeholder environments, and driving overall operational risk reduction.

  • Technical Competencies: Experience working directly with major international banking portals and proprietary API-driven banking infrastructure.

Nice to have:

  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., ACT or AMCT)

  • Proficiency in SQL and Python for data-driven risk analysis, reporting, and automated monitoring of banking access controls.
