Job DescriptionThe Head of Analytics enables the access to qualitative information via the planning, building and running of conceptual “single point of truth” and the delivery of Analytics products to enable fact-based decision making and to optimize any process within MET.
Essential responsibilities
- Maintain the Analytics Operating Model detailing governance, process, data and IT Architecture principles of MET Group Analytics.
- Supervise and support Analytics IT Applications; Azure Databricks, MS Power BI, Confluent ad internally developed IT Applications (built with Databricks)
- Create and maintain the information and analytics products architecture to support the delivery of all analytics products
- Develop and maintain data integration from internal and external data sources to supply all analytics products with qualitative and actualized information
- Provision data & information to operational applications requiring additional data sources (eg. Endur, CCH Tagetik, …,)
- Enable data discovery (via providing queries/views but also training and best practices) for advanced users (quant analysts, FP&A analysts, controllers, risk managers, …)
- Deliver and maintain standard reports and dashboards
- Develop and maintain the Analytics products architecture
- Provide and promote best practices regarding information visualization (e.g. IBCS) and define and maintain the MET Reporting Governance
- Supervise the IT Application landscape delivering Analytics IT Capabilities
- 10-12 years of experience in analytics or data science roles, preferably from energy space or other regulated market
- 5+ years of experience in a management or leadership capacity
- Strong business acumen and the ability to connect data insights to business objectives
- Proficiency in SQL, visualisation tools, and statistical methods
- Understanding of data governance and compliance
- Experience setting up analytics platforms
- Knowledge of data governance principles and practices
- Knowledge of data visualization best practices and tools
- Thorough knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and methodologies
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder engagement skills
Skills Required
