The Head of AI joins a department of 70 members that is responsible for Data Management & Credit Risk optimization. The core responsibilities of the role is to lead R&D initiatives of AI Credit models and methods, and support through AI models relevant initiatives for marketing, operations and business. The successful candidate must be results-oriented, self-motivated and be able to thrive in dynamic and fast-paced environments. The role requires frequent interaction with Credit Traders, Quantitative Risk Data Scientists and Business stakeholders.
What you will do
- Lead R&D initiatives of AI credit models and methods; credit scoring, credit decisioning, fraud, risk monitoring, collection, etc.
- Manage the planning and execution of AI initiatives.
- Find and prioritize AI use cases that can improve performance.
- Collaborate with other departments like business, product, operations and engineering to integrate AI effectively.
- Provide expert support and guidance to all stakeholders.
- Establish a high-performing team by developing the team's strategy, defining objectives, and aligning responsibilities with broader organizational goals.
- Establish AI governance and ensure compliance.
What you will bring
- Masters or PhD in a numerate subject.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in AI, Machine Learning or Data Science, preferably with applications at risk.
- Minimum 3 years in a leadership or management role, with proven success in building, mentoring and scaling AI and data science teams.
- Extensive knowledge of the state-of-the-art AI methods and algorithms.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to break down complex challenges and find innovative, data-driven solutions.
- Advanced understanding of model validation techniques for both credit and market risk models
- Excellent ability to work under pressure, formulate and articulate solutions and defend assumptions
- Excellent ability to solve real world business problems using AI.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills with acute attention to details
