Prado Power, a trailblazer in the renewable energy sector, is seeking a visionary and detail-oriented Head of Accounts Department to lead our financial operations. This senior role is integral to ensuring the organization’s fiscal health, strategic growth, and compliance with international financial standards as we continue to revolutionize the energy industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer all fiscal activities, including accounting, payroll, budgeting, purchasing, billing, financial reporting, banking, investments, and debt management.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations, adhering to IFRS rules and guidelines.
  • Prepare, assemble, and analyze financial data to create comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Present detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to the executive team.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of subordinate accounting personnel, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage the company’s accounting system and debt service, implementing effective asset management strategies.
  • Oversee banking transactions, including wire transfers, funds management, and investments, while administering contracts with financial entities.
  • Approve payments, review invoices, and verify purchase order authorizations for accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with purchasing laws by reviewing purchasing procedures.
  • Prepare and present annual financial and budget statements in line with IFRS requirements.
  • Collaborate with various departments on budget preparation, implementation, and financial system improvements.
  • Administer payroll, review utility billing reports, and authorize account adjustments when necessary.
  • Stay updated on trends and developments in financial administration to maintain best practices.
  • Represent the company’s financial interests at management and executive meetings.
  • Generate correspondence and compile detailed financial reports and summaries as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support company objectives.




Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, CPA) is mandatory.
  • A minimum of Eight years of experience in a senior financial management role.
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ZohoBooks, SAP, QuickBooks) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Proficiency in ZohoBooks is an added advantage.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
