As Head of ACC DACH, you take overall responsibility for Credit, Collections & Recovery, Financial Economic Crime (FEC), Fraud Prevention and Field Audit across the region. You ensure effective first line risk management while driving a consistent and sustainable risk culture in close alignment with Regional Risk leadership.

Key responsibilities (Day to day):

  • Overall responsibility for Credit, Collections & Recovery, Financial Economic Crime, Fraud Prevention and Field Audit, ensuring effective first line risk management

  • Driving alignment with the company’s risk appetite and contributing to credit decisioning through active participation in governance forums

  • Leading complex credit decisions within assigned authority and defining strategies for distressed portfolios

  • Owning the consistent application of regulatory requirements and high-quality execution of CDD and Financial Economic Crime activities

  • Driving continuous improvement of risk frameworks, processes and controls in close collaboration with Regional Risk

  • Acting as a key interface between risk and commercial teams, balancing business growth with disciplined risk management

  • Leading and developing the management team while fostering a strong and consistent risk culture across the organization

  • Delivering fraud and credit risk costs within Through the Cycle targets and maintaining a healthy portfolio quality

  • Driving excellence in Financial Economic Crime and CDD performance with strong quality and timeliness

  • Ensuring high-quality decision-making in line with risk appetite and commercial priorities

  • Maintaining a strong control environment aligned with governance, policies and authorization frameworks

  • Building and sustaining required capabilities in line with the risk curriculum

  • Driving effective workforce planning and strong employee engagement

Essentials:

  • More than 10 years of experience in risk management combined with leadership responsibility and strong credit authority exposure

  • Broad experience across leasing products with a solid understanding of wholesale banking environments

  • Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to build, develop and lead high-performing teams

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across functions and operate effectively in a matrix organization

  • Strategic mindset combined with a strong understanding of risk and return dynamics

  • High level of collaboration and the ability to build trusted relationships with customers, partners and internal stakeholders

  • Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities combined with a structured approach

  • Solid understanding of the local market and relevant industry trends
