The HCPC Finance Associate supports the financial operations of the department by assisting with financial reporting, budget monitoring, general ledger activities, and other accounting functions. Working under the direction of the Business Department Manager, this position maintains accurate financial records, assists with budget preparation and account reconciliations, and prepares routine financial reports and analyses. The HCPC Finance Associate collaborates with the finance team and contracted accounting resources to support departmental financial operations and ensure the accuracy of financial data.

Qualifications
  • Education: Degree in business/accounting or closely related field Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Experience: 1 to 3 years of relevant professional experience
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized with exceptional focus to detail
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer-based accounting systems and Microsoft Office, with a strong preference for advanced Excel skills.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts
  • Approved relevant education or experience may be considered.

Pay transparency:  St. Joseph’s Health provides a salary range to comply with New Jersey Law.  The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc.” The salary range does not include incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation.

About the Team

St. Joseph’s University Medical Center is an academic tertiary care medical center and state designated trauma center, located on the Paterson campus, regularly accepts referrals of difficult or unusual cases from other hospitals and physicians and performs both complex and routine procedures.
