Job Duties: Vice President, Data Engineering with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in New York, New York. Support the development of the Firm’s Budget and Compensation strategy through data collection, reporting, and analytics. Monitor Tableau Dashboards’ health and perform maintenance and expansion, inclusive of oversight and management of development work of junior resources on the team. Maintain tableau dashboard data sources inclusive of performance testing & optimization and quality control testing. Responsible for end-to-end data analytics and reporting support of global Budget, Compensation and Headcount processes, including project planning, requirement gathering, report build, data governance, User Acceptance Testing, and new technology driven automation. Organize and interpret large data sets to create and disseminate reporting from across the firm with the Human Capital Management function. Understand internal client needs to enhance reports, identify areas for automation, reduce operational risk and process improvement, and recommend technology solutions. Automate reports and report validations using tools such as Alteryx, Excel, VBA, Tableau, and Business Objects, and liaise between stakeholders and technology teams for efficient data design.
Job Requirements: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Business Analytics, Information Science, Information Systems, Engineering Management, or related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related role OR Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Business Analytics, Information Science, Information Systems, Engineering Management, or related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related role. Must have two (2) years of experience (with a Master’s) OR five (5) years of experience (with a Bachelor’s) with: working in Human Resource, Human Capital or Business Intelligence within a financial institution in a reporting or analytics function; mining through and organizing multiple data sets, including sets that are unstructured and exceed 1 million rows, and navigating and analyzing them in CSV, Excel, Tableau, and Business Objects; conducting at least 5 levels of testing, including functional, regression, user acceptance, integration and performance, on new dashboard releases and functional enhancements to user applications to ensure accuracy of data; Tableau, including creating custom variables, building interactive views, structuring reports, filtering, dashboard actions and input controls; utilizing advanced Excel tools, including vlookups, pivot tables with slicers, creating linked charts and visuals, conditional formatting, IF Statements, Arrays, and structuring unformatted data; blending and transforming data using Alteryx to create data sources for reporting and dashboarding; and SQL, including joining tables, manipulating and editing existing SQL, using SQL relational database systems to write queries and extract existing data to calculate and format into ad-hoc metrics.
Salary Range: Annual base salary for this New York, New York -based position is $166,000 - $270,000.
