Job Summary:

The Hardware Test Engineer will collaborate closely with the hardware engineering team to support product development from concept to design freeze. The Engineer will conduct hardware board-level testing and ensure that all hardware design specifications are met. They will work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams to drive product quality and resolve any engineering issues identified during testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct hardware integration and hardware-software testing.
  • Understand and troubleshoot hardware designs, including microcontroller and signal interfaces.
  • Analyze and interpret schematics/circuits.
  • Operate test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.
  • Program/flash software into microcontrollers.
  • Perform soldering tasks (including SMD components).

  • Support testing of automotive electronic products, including infotainment systems, clusters, and radios.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) with 5+ years of experience in automotive electronics hardware design.
  • Expertise in automotive embedded systems.
  • Proficiency in electrical signal characterization, specifically with DDR, I2C/SPI/UART buses.
  • Hands-on experience working in a lab environment using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies for validation testing.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced automotive product development environment.

Desired Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of automotive infotainment testing.
  • Experience working with microcontroller-based designs and signal interfaces.
