Hardware Requirements Engineer

What you will do:

The Hardware Requirements Engineer is responsible for the electronic hardware requirements generation and management for lithium-ion and ultra capacitor energy storage systems.

How you will do it:

• Review customer specifications to identify requirements relevant to energy storage electronics hardware

• Support creation and review of System Requirements and System Architecture

• Collaborate with Systems, Software, and Functional Safety Engineering to develop electronic, safety, diagnostics, and hardware-software interface requirements

• Lead the development of the electronic requirements and verification test case requirements, including authoring and reviews

• Manage the traceability of hardware requirements through the hardware development process

• Participate in the definition and review of Hardware Architecture designs

• Participate in the establishment of standardized common hardware modules / blocks

• Review Hardware Test Plans for completeness and relevance to verification of requirements

• Support creation of the Hardware Development Plan, especially requirements management plans

What we look for:

Required:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering

• Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded electronic hardware development for safety-critical systems

• Experience with electronic schematic and circuits

• Experience with formal requirement management tools such as Doors or Jama

Preferred:

• Experience with schematic capture tools such as Altium

• Experience working in the Agile Scrum framework

• Experience with ASPICE software development processes

• Experience with product development per functional safety and security goals (e.g. ISO-26262, ISO-21434)
