We are seeking a software quality engineer where your primary responsibility is to ensure high quality software solutions as a contributing member of a highly motivated team of Engineers. You will make an impact in the market on a hugely visible product line while interacting daily with other team members to ensure that a quality product is delivered in a timely manner.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Responsible for lab management supporting development and quality teams
- Responsible for fuel Pump Management and tracking
- Responsible for interfacing with 3rd party suppliers for orders and repairs
- Responsible for Lab Network Management
- Responsible for Hardware Inventory management
- Responsible for Lab Image Management
- Responsible for hardware diagnostics and RMA process
- Responsible for Documenting Processes via Confluence
- Responsible for Flashing firmware and ROMs
- Ability to setup required hardware for test environments including Windows PC, Point-of-Sale terminals, printers, fuel pumps/controllers, pin pads, networking (LAN, WAN, connections to electronic payment networks)
- Business savvy & technical expertise to follow complex instructions and achieve desired results
- Identify, communicate & manage escalations regarding deliverables
- Complete status reports
- Other job related duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Computer Science & 7+ years related quality assurance experience or 10+ years related business experience
- Knowledge of MS Office S/W suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Expert level networking setup/troubleshooting skills
- Expert level ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Expert level ability to define instructions
- Expert level written and verbal communication skills
- Expert level in training all levels of team members to become proficient in RPOS
- Highly Organized and extremely neat and tidy
- Able to multi-task
- Fast learner and innovative with the ability to work in fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Retail industry and/or Point-of-Sale product knowledge
- Knowledge of Jira
- Knowledge of Ghosting, PXe, VMWare, Virtual Box
- Advanced experience with defect tracking tools including query/report creation
