Sealing Technologies is seeking a Hardware Product Manager who possesses managerial and product development experience, along with a genuine enthusiasm for our team-oriented culture. The ideal candidate brings extensive proven leadership in product launching and multitasking abilities to coordinate with customer requirements, engineers, marketing, suppliers, and leadership to facilitate successful releases. They can get hands on with systems, delegate tasks, and follow sound judgement on product selection into new releases.
Responsibilities Include:
- End-to-end ownership of the product management lifecycle.
- Management of current products, including assisting with incorporating changes or features.
- Collaborating with customer, program management, or engineers to prioritize features and issues.
- Supporting Marketing with collateral on new products and market position.
- Strong technical writing skills to develop and maintain documentation such as product manuals, quick start guides, Knowledge Bases Articles (KBAs), tech bulletins or development ticket notes.
- Strong procedural knowledge to ensure products are developed with quality and function.
- Qualifying and coordinating products for Mil-Spec testing.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers or suppliers to assist with bringing new technologies into products.
- Assist Product Development, Business Development, Product Manufacturing, or other teams as necessary.
- Strong background in issue & project tracking software for product development.
- Traveling to customer, trade shows, or manufacture sites for product development and requirements gathering as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience understanding customer requirements and translating into actionable tickets for system engineers, electrical engineers, mechanical engineers and other manufacturing partners.
- Degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
- Candidate must have at least 7 years of product management experience.
- Vendor management experience.
- Working understanding of server connector types, physical constrains, thermal limitations and best practices of system construction.
- Technical writing experience
- US Citizen
- Linux development experience
- Familiarity the DoD contracting process.
- System engineering experience
- Hands on experience with system troubleshooting
- Electrical or Mechanical Engineering experience, including development and design.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Product Management
- CompTIA Security + certification
- CompTIA A + certification
- Certified Scrum Master certification
This role has an internal job title of a Product Manager III, IV or V with a corresponding base salary range of $115,500-$153,300, set in line with internal benchmarks. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to the anticipated salary, one will have the opportunity to qualify for bonuses.
