Job Description:In this senior level position you will lead the design and bring-up of high-speed, multilayer boards for CPO and other optical interconnect systems, applying your expertise in schematic and PCB design. Job activities include system level circuit design and verification, schematic design, coordination of PCB layouts, validation and laboratory testing, and coordination of production development and support. You will also perform failure analysis and incorporate findings into future revisions of the product design.
You will need to coordinate with other specialty team members, including optical design, mechanical design, firmware development, and quality control.
Some specific technical activities/requirements are:
Design main boards and validation boards for CPO and other optical communication systems.
Be part of product design and development activities, including schematic design, analog, and digital circuit design.
Organize validation and characterization. Work with high speed laboratory equipment to make performance measurements.
Perform failure analysis and recommend improvements to product design.
Knowledge/understanding of optical communication systems and requirements.
Qualifications:
Experience with common hardware technologies including power, clock, memory, MCU, and a variety of interfaces (I2C, SPI, MDIO, etc.).
Experience with schematic and PCB layout design
Experience in working in large teams helping to drive resolution of performance and quality issues within complex projects.
Experience in mechanical design, fabrication methods, materials, validation testing, and familiarity with SI principles.
Experience with FPGA design and Verilog HDL/VHDL programming
Experience with scripting languages such as Python.
Education/Experience:
Bachelors degree with 12+years, Masters degree with 10+, or PhD with 7+ years of related experience
Post-graduate degree is preferred

Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary range for this position is $141,300 - $226,000.
This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
