Hardware Engineer

Voor PMJ (onderdeel van JBT Marel), gevestigd in Opmeer, zijn we momenteel op zoek naar een Hardware Engineer. In deze functie ben je verantwoordelijk voor het volledige elektrotechnische deel binnen multidisciplinaire projecten, van het eerste ontwerp tot en met de inbedrijfstelling op locatie. Je vertaalt klantwensen naar robuuste elektrotechnische oplossingen en zorgt voor een succesvolle uitvoering van projecten. In deze dynamische functie combineer je technische engineeringkennis met een praktische, hands-on aanpak in het veld.

• Verantwoordelijk voor het opstellen van technische ontwerpspecificaties en de implementatie van nieuwe elektrische componenten.
• Je werkt nauw samen met directe collega's en collega's binnen de verschillende industrieën in Boxmeer (BXM) om requirements op te stellen voor elektrische besturingssystemen en bekabelingsprojecten.
• Ontwerpen van elektrische besturingssystemen en uitvoeren van verificatietests.
• Uitvoeren van de benodigde ontwerpberekeningen.
• Bouwen van elektrische schakelkasten.
• Verantwoordelijk voor het onderhouden en beheren van versies van bestaande documentatie, modules en artikellijsten.
• Ontwerpen van bekabelingsprojecten.
• Op afstand bieden van technische ondersteuning aan onze klanten.

• Voorbereiden en uitvoeren van het besturingsgedeelte (elektrische schakelkasten/software/PLC) van installatieprojecten.
• Uitvoeren van servicebezoeken.
• Oplossen van productieproblemen bij klanten op locatie.
• Aansturen van lokale medewerkers bij grotere installatieprojecten.
• Contact onderhouden met de klant en de klant informeren over de voortgang.
• Trainen van de klant en de resultaten terugkoppelen aan je collega's.
• Je werkt samen met ervaren collega's, zowel bij de klant op locatie als op kantoor. Zij leren je alles over onze machines en delen hun kennis en ervaring met je.

Om succesvol te zijn in deze functie herken je jezelf in het onderstaande profiel:

• Een afgeronde opleiding in Elektrotechniek, Mechatronica, Industriële Automatisering of een vergelijkbare richting.
• Ervaring met elektrische besturingssystemen, PLC's, elektrische schakelkasten en industriële bekabelingsprojecten.
• Ervaring met SEE Electrical en/of EPLAN is een pluspunt.
• Je kunt elektrische schema's en technische documentatie lezen en opstellen.
• Ervaring met inbedrijfstelling, storingsanalyse en technische serviceondersteuning is een pré.
• Je vindt het prettig om op locatie bij klanten te werken en bent bereid om indien nodig internationaal te reizen.
• Goede communicatieve vaardigheden en het vermogen om nauw samen te werken met klanten en collega's van verschillende afdelingen.

For PMJ (Part of JBT Marel), located in Opmeer, we are currently recruiting a Hardware Engineer. In this role you will be responsible for the complete electrical scope within multidisciplinary projects, from initial design to on-site commissioning. You translate customer requirements into robust electrical solutions and ensure successful project execution. In this dynamic role, you combine engineering expertise with hands-on involvement in the field.

What you'll be doing

Internally: 

• Responsible for technical design specification as well as implementation of new electrical components
• Works closely with direct colleagues and industries colleagues in BXM to create requirements for electrical control systems and cabling projects
• Design electrical control systems and perform verification tests
• Perform required design calculations
• Manufacturing of electrical panels
• Responsible for maintenance and version control of existing documentation, modules and item lists
• Design cabling projects
• Providing remote technical support to our customers

In the field:

• Prepare and execute the controls (electrical cabinets/software/PLC) part of installation-jobs.
• Conduct service visits.
• Troubleshoot production issues at customers’ sites.
• Manage local employees in larger installation projects.
• Keep in touch with, and report to the customer about your progress.
• Train the customer and feedback results to your colleagues.
• You will work in a team with experienced coworkers, both at customer site and in the office, who will teach you all the knowledge they have about our machines.

About you
To be successful in this role you recognize yourself in the profile below:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or a related field
• Experience with electrical control systems, PLCs, electrical panels, and industrial cabling projects
• Experience with SEE Electrical and/or E-plan is e plus
• Ability to read and create electrical schematics and technical documentation
• Experience with commissioning, troubleshooting, and service support preferred
• Comfortable working on-site at customer locations, including international travel when required
• Good communication skills and the ability to work closely with customers and colleagues across departments
