Job Description:Applications Engineer
The candidate will support business development for isolation products in automotive applications. This is a role where the candidate will promote automotive products through technical support to customers. He will articulate the value proposition or our products to address the application needs of high voltage systems in hybrid and electric vehicles.
Roles and Responsibility:
1. Technical support for isolation products to customers in powertrain inverter, charger, converter applications
2. Conduct technical training to Field Applications Engineers globally
3. Hardware design / reference designs for gate drive and sensing applications
4. Translate customer requirement into new product definition
5. Application testing of new products under development
6. Competitive analysis of isolation solutions and provide market updates
7. Presentation of portfolio and value proposition to customers
Required:
· Bachelor in Electrical or Electronics
· 5 years’ experience in Semiconductor industry
· Experience in automotive; familiar with ISO26262, IATF 16949, PPAP, etc
· Strong team player
· Good communication and presentation skills
· Moderate travel required
· Proficient in English language
· Familiar with analog components or sensors (advantage)
· Familiar with Gate Drivers of power devices (advantage)
· Familiar with powertrain inverter, onboard charger, battery management systems (advantage)
