At Ryanair Engineering Germany, our engineers and mechanics are responsible for the maintenance of all Ryanair aircrafts in multiple stations all across Germany
We are currently looking for a Hangar Manager for our station in Berlin Brandenburg (BER), Germany.
Role:
- Supervision and oversight of the Hangar Staff and Facility
- Ensure health and safety regulations are complied with in full.
- Ensuring the serviceability and appearance of equipment, facilities and premises in their charge are maintained to a high standard
- Ensure all performed task have complete documentation carried out and meet the Company and legislative requirements as per company/airline procedures such as CAME, MOE, Line & Base handbook, materials handbook, company policies and procedures etc
- Immediate and close communication of aircraft status
- The supervision, direction, and management of resources under their responsibility to achieve the most efficient and cost-effective maintenance, during the assigned shift working hours and team leadership
- Further individual tasks or special assignments assigned by the Station Manager or Head of Technical Operations.
The Hangar Manager role includes:
- Control of the aircraft spares shortage list and the authorisation of orders being placed for high cost spare parts.
- Actively take part in aircraft maintenance duties or conduct certifying and support staff activities (if applicable) within the scope of their approval as required and directed by the Base Maintenance Manager.
- Audit of Hangar and Facilities in accordance with Company Procedures
- Allocate engineering staff to cover maintenance services activities in out-of-hours circumstances to contracted customers
- Assist with planning scheduled maintenance
- Promote SMS principles in the hangar
- Arranging and managing aircraft Pre-Check input meetings to ensure that there are adequate resources available to meet the customer’s requirements, and to keep the Base Maintenance Manager fully informed especially if there are any shortfalls
- Ensure all documentation is completed correctly before the work day/shift ends and a detailed hand over of any work in progress is completed
- Respond to Quality deficiencies in the area of activity for which they are responsible, which arise from independent quality audits.
- Ensuring, through the work force under his/her control that the quality of workmanship in the final product is to the standard acceptable to the organisation and EASA.
- Provide support and assistance to the Check Supervisors in ensuring that a high standard of control and standard of workmanship is achieved.
- Must hold a EASA PART 66 CAT B1 and C License with Boeing B737NG at least, preferable B737NG and B737MAX / Airbus A320.
- You have at least six months work experience on type during the last two years.
- Excellent communication skills - fluent English is essential.
- Good computer literacy.
- Willing to work shift.
- A valid EU/EEA passport with the unrestricted right to live and work in the European Union and a valid EU driver's license.
- Preferably a valid German security clearance according to § 7 of German Aviation Security Act.
