Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator with a strong emphasis on Hadoop Administration to join our dynamic team at TechM Blr ECITY. The ideal candidate will have 2 5 years of experience in database management and administration, with a proven track record of working with Hadoop ecosystems. This role requires a detail oriented individual who can ensure the performance, integrity, and security of our databases while supporting our data driven initiatives.
Responsibilities:

Administer and maintain Hadoop clusters, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies to enhance efficiency.
Perform regular database backups and recovery operations to safeguard data integrity.
Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements.
Manage user access and security protocols to protect sensitive data.
Conduct troubleshooting and resolve database issues in a timely manner.
Document database configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to database management and Hadoop.

Mandatory Skills:

Strong knowledge and hands on experience in Hadoop Administration.
Proficiency in database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks.
Understanding of database security best practices and compliance standards.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with cloud based database solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Experience in performance tuning and optimization of large scale databases.
Certifications in database management or Hadoop administration are a plus.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
