We are seeking an experienced Guidewire ClaimCenter Specialist to support the implementation, configuration, integration, maintenance, and enhancement of Guidewire ClaimCenter for Property & Casualty insurance operations across North Carolina and South Carolina.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter, a solid understanding of P&C insurance claims processes, and the ability to work closely with business stakeholders, claims teams, developers, QA teams, and technical architects.

The specialist will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, configuring ClaimCenter, supporting integrations, troubleshooting production issues, and delivering enhancements that improve claims processing efficiency and regulatory compliance.


Requirements
  • Configure and customize Guidewire ClaimCenter based on business and functional requirements.
  • Analyze claims business processes and translate requirements into ClaimCenter configurations and solutions.
  • Work with claims, underwriting, product, and IT teams to identify system improvements.
  • Develop and maintain ClaimCenter configurations, including:
    • Claim workflows
    • Business rules
    • Activities
    • Validation rules
    • Authority limits
    • Assignment rules
    • User roles and permissions
    • Screen and PCF configurations
    • Gosu-based enhancements
  • Support integrations between ClaimCenter and third-party/internal systems using APIs, web services, messaging, and related integration technologies.
  • Participate in ClaimCenter implementation, upgrade, and migration projects.
  • Troubleshoot application, configuration, integration, and production issues.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with developers and QA teams on unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and UAT.
  • Create and maintain functional and technical documentation.
  • Support data conversion and migration activities where required.
  • Assist with production releases, deployment validation, and post-production support.
  • Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Ensure solutions comply with applicable P&C insurance requirements and organizational standards.
  • Support claims operations and business users across North Carolina and South Carolina.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience working with Guidewire ClaimCenter.
  • Hands-on experience with ClaimCenter configuration and customization.
  • Strong knowledge of Gosu and Guidewire application architecture.
  • Experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter versions 8.x, 9.x, 10.x, or later.
  • Strong understanding of P&C insurance claims processes, including:
    • FNOL
    • Claim assignment
    • Coverage verification
    • Claim investigation
    • Reserves
    • Payments
    • Litigation
    • Subrogation
    • Recovery
    • Claim closure
  • Experience with ClaimCenter integrations and APIs.
  • Knowledge of XML, JSON, REST/SOAP web services, and SQL.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Guidewire ClaimCenter certification.
  • Experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter and/or BillingCenter.
  • Experience with Guidewire Integration Gateway, messaging, and web services.
  • Experience with cloud-based Guidewire implementations, including Guidewire Cloud.
  • Experience with Guidewire upgrades and version migrations.
  • Knowledge of P&C insurance regulations and claims practices applicable to North Carolina and South Carolina.
  • Experience working with insurance carriers, TPAs, or large P&C organizations.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and modern DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.

Responsibilities by Experience Level

Senior Guidewire ClaimCenter Specialist
  • Lead ClaimCenter configuration and enhancement initiatives.
  • Provide technical guidance to developers and configuration specialists.
  • Work directly with business stakeholders and solution architects.

Knowledge of Regional Insurance Requirements

The successful candidate should be comfortable supporting insurance operations in North Carolina and South Carolina and should be able to work with business and compliance teams to accommodate state-specific claims requirements.

Knowledge of state-specific requirements involving claims handling, payments, notices, regulatory timelines, and documentation is highly desirable.
