The Data Analyst specializing in Tableau is responsible for interpreting complex data sets and transforming them into actionable insights to drive informed business decisions. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, this role involves developing and implementing robust data visualization strategies, maintaining data integrity, and enhancing reporting capabilities. The analyst acts as a trusted partner to stakeholders, providing clarity through effective data visualization and strategic analysis.
What You'll Do
Data Analysis and Visualization
- Analyze complex data sets based on reporting requirements, providing guidance for data modeling in Snowflake.
- Develop and implement data visualization strategies using Tableau, delivering insights for strategic decision-making.
- Create visually appealing, insightful Tableau dashboards and reports tailored to stakeholder needs.
Technical Reporting and Data Management
- Develop and maintain views in Snowflake to support Tableau data sources.
- Work within a fast paced and changing data and data governance model, and provide potential improvements and enhancements on current practices
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of data and KPIs across all teams and reporting
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand their analytical requirements and translate these into actionable Tableau reports.
- Provide clear, effective communication of complex data insights to stakeholders at varying organizational levels.
User Training and Documentation
- Offer training and ongoing support to users on Tableau functionality and best practices.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive data dictionary for report metrics, KPIs, and KRIs
Continuous Improvement
- Stay informed about Tableau updates and developments, proactively recommending enhancements to improve visualization capabilities.
- Suggest and implement improvements to reporting and analytics tools to enhance business insights.
What You Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a data analyst or similar role, with specific focus on Tableau.
- Proficiency in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server.
- Strong experience working with SQL and large databases.
- Excellent communication skills to translate complex data insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Agile, capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
