As a Senior Associate within the GTM Operations & Modernization team, you execute and support the quantitative and analytical backbone of GTM planning and performance management. This role focuses on financial modeling, performance measurement, and data-driven insight generation that connects GTM investments, activities, and outcomes to pipeline and revenue impact.
This role serves as a key partner to GTM Planning, GTM Financial Management, and GTM Business Insights teams, ensuring that enterprise GTM priorities are grounded in data, translated into structured insights, and supported through consistent modeling and reporting. You will build and maintain models, dashboards, and analyses that enable visibility into performance, trade-offs, and forward-looking decisions, while also owning the deployment of new models into team workflows, gathering feedback from stakeholders, and continuously improving outputs based on evolving needs and usage.
In addition to supporting core modeling and reporting needs, this role is a core member of the GTM Operations & Modernization team and will take on a rotating portfolio of projects and stakeholder requests as priorities evolve. Expect the role to flex across modeling, dashboarding, performance measurement, structured problem-solving, narrative development, and change management balancing recurring deliverables with project-based work that strengthens GTM’s analytical maturity.
You will operate across a global set of GTM, Sales, and Marketing stakeholders, connecting data, analysis, and insights across functions to support a consistent view of GTM performance. In this role, you will:
- Build and maintain financial and operational models
- Develop dashboards and reporting that connect GTM activity to pipeline and revenue outcomes
- Translate analysis into structured, executive-ready narratives
- Support cross-functional analytical workstreams and special projects
- Provide visibility into performance, trends, and trade-offs to inform decision-making
Your Day-to-Day May Include:
Financial Modeling & Forecasting
- Build and maintain financial and operational models that support GTM planning, forecasting, and investment decisions
- Execute scenario analyses to evaluate trade-offs across spend, prioritization, and resourcing
- Support forecasting efforts by integrating inputs from Planning, Financial Management, and business stakeholders
- Develop models that connect marketing activity, pipeline, and revenue outcomes
- Maintain and enhance existing models based on evolving requirements and feedback
Performance Measurement & Dashboarding
- Develop dashboards that provide visibility into GTM performance across investment areas
- Support tracking of actuals vs. plan, highlighting variances and key drivers
- Enable drill-down views and reporting structures that support different stakeholder needs
- Partner with Business Intelligence and Customer Platform teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability across various data sources (e.g., CRM, CMS, ClickUp)
- Improve reporting structures and outputs to enhance clarity and decision usefulness
Data Integration & Analytical Structuring
- Connect data across GTM, Sales, Marketing, and Finance sources into structured analytical outputs
- Apply consistent definitions, logic, and assumptions across models and reporting
- Support efforts to unify reporting definitions, structures, and outputs across global platform firms to enable consistent cross-market visibility
- Translate defined business questions into structured analyses and outputs
- Identify gaps in data availability or quality and propose practical improvements
- Support the development of repeatable analytical frameworks and processes
Executive Reporting & Narrative Development
- Translate complex analyses into clear, structured narratives that highlight key themes, drivers, and implications
- Develop executive-ready materials (e.g., slides, summaries, dashboards) that communicate insights effectively
- Organize outputs into logical storylines to support decision-making discussions
- Iterate on narratives based on feedback from GTM Planning and leadership to ensure alignment with messaging and priorities
- Surface options, scenarios, and implications—escalating trade-offs to decision owners
Decision Support & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Provide analytical support to GTM Planning and Financial Management to inform key decisions
- Support evaluation of GTM initiatives, campaigns, and investments through data-driven insights
- Partner with stakeholders across GTM, Sales, Marketing, and Finance to gather inputs and align outputs
- Contribute to governance forums and working sessions by preparing structured analytical inputs
- Respond to ad hoc analytical requests, balancing speed, accuracy, and clarity
Operational Discipline & Continuous Improvement
- Strengthen modeling and reporting processes by improving templates, tools, and documentation
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual work and improve scalability of analytics
- Standardize outputs to ensure consistency across reporting and decision-making
- Contribute to modernization efforts that enhance GTM’s analytical capabilities
- Support development of repeatable processes for forecasting, variance analysis, and performance tracking
You Have the Following Technical Skills and Qualifications:
Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Analytics, or related field
2–4 years of experience in analytics, financial modeling, or business operations, with demonstrated experience building models or dashboards (not just maintaining or updating existing outputs)
Core Modeling & Analytical Capability
- Demonstrated experience building multi-input financial or operational models and conducting scenario analysis to evaluate trade-offs and outcomes
- Ability to translate loosely defined requirements and ambiguous problems into structured analytical outputs, including models, dashboards, or reporting frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to iterate, improve, and document models, assumptions, and methodologies so outputs can be maintained and extended by others
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity across models and reporting outputs
- Translate analysis into structured narratives
Data & Tooling Experience
Advanced Excel skills with the ability to build financial models, conduct scenario analysis, and support dynamic reporting
Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to develop dashboards and communicate insights
Experience with workflow automation tools (e.g., Power Automate) to streamline model deployment, reporting processes, and data workflows preferred
Experience working with pipeline, revenue, or CRM-derived datasets preferred
Knowledge of professional services industry, go-to-market models, sales processes, and marketing performance measurement preferred
Ways of Working
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across different levels
Comfort working in ambiguity and shifting priorities, with a track record of independently structuring work and driving outcomes across multiple workstreams
Ability to break down complex or undefined problems into component parts and develop a clear path forward
The base salary range for this position is between $96,000 and $144,000. Placement within the pay range is at Grant Thornton’s discretion, and it is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, progression within the role, geographic location, and internal equity.
