We're at an inflection point, and the quality of our managers and teams will determine how far we go. This role is focused on helping go-to-market leaders build high-performing teams and removing friction that slows deals and people down.
This is our first People Partner hire, and the first focused on our GTM org. You'll help define how we support managers and teams as we scale.
You'll work closely with our global, distributed, hybrid GTM organization. You'll be embedded with leaders and ICs across regions, which means understanding how revenue generating teams are structured, motivated, and managed. Revenue teams can become their own island. Part of this role is making sure that doesn't happen at Meter.
What you’ll doSupport leaders on decisions that matter
Work closely with managers and leaders on hiring, promotions, compensation, territory and team structure, and performance. Help bring clarity and good judgment to decisions with real impact on quota attainment and retention.
Improve how the org operates
Identify where teams are slowed down by unclear roles, weak accountability, or poor coordination. Help leaders embed our rules of engagement and make structural changes that stick.
Raise the quality of management
Coach managers through difficult situations: performance management, ramp, quota attainment conversations, and team dynamics. Help them give direct feedback and build trust with their teams.
Handle issues before they become bigger problems
Get pulled into employee situations across the company and help resolve them quickly, thoughtfully, and with good judgment. Focus on solving the actual problem without adding unnecessary process or slowing teams down.
Help define how this role works
This is our first People Partner. The role is broad, and there will always be more demand than capacity. Strong judgment and prioritization matter a lot.
Be present with a distributed team
The team is distributed across the US and EMEA regions. You'll spend a significant portion of your time on Zoom– syncing with reps, managers, and leaders wherever they are. You're also willing to travel to be on the ground when presence counts: team offsites, conferences, partner events, or high-stakes moments.
You've supported go-to-market organizations before, and you understand how revenue teams are structured, what motivates reps, and how quota and comp dynamics shape behavior
You have high standards and push for clarity, accountability, and follow-through
You're comfortable having direct conversations about performance, feedback, and leadership
You can make good decisions without waiting for complete information
You'd rather build something better than maintain something mediocre
The internet runs the world. Every purchase you make, video call you join, it's all packets flowing through networks. But those networks haven’t changed for decades. They’re brittle, complex, and surprisingly hard to set up in an enterprise space.
We started Meter to build better networks. We had to build everything from the ground-up: designing and building our own enterprise hardware, intuitive software, and streamlined operations to deliver great outcomes for our customers. Today, we build and deploy these networks at scale. Ambitious companies and enduring institutions like Bridgewater, Lyft, Reddit, rely on Meter to keep their thousands of employees and locations online and productive.
Our bet with Meter is simple: we will all use the internet more than we do today. We believe we have the definitive networking stack in place to enable business to do so as seamlessly and reliably as any modern utility.
CompensationThe estimated base salary for this role is between $175,000 - $225,000.
Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Meter's equity plan.

What We Do
Our bet with Meter is simple: we’ll all use the internet more than we do today. That future depends on networking infrastructure—the invisible plumbing powering every application, space, and data center. But today’s infrastructure is dated and inconsistent, so we’re rebuilding it from the ground up. We design the hardware, write the firmware, build the software, deploy the networks, and run support. It’s a single, integrated networking solution that scales from offices, warehouses, and large campuses to data centers—and today, it’s powering some of the world’s most ambitious organizations.
Why Work With Us
We’re a group of kind and ambitious people who want to do the best work of their career. The work we do across hardware, software, and operations is hard and long-term oriented. We are colleagues who view fast-paced and changing environments as an opportunity—not a bug—and find the agency to move things forward.
