At Thoughtly we're looking for a founding Product Manager to join our team.
About Thoughtly
Thoughtly is the AI-native voice platform that's turning every lead into a real conversation. Thoughtly's agents call, qualify, and convert pipeline at scale — no SDRs, no static funnels, no code required. For the first time in our customers' history, they can reach 100% of all leads. Enterprise teams at 2U, Siemens, and Nomad are augmenting their outbound teams with Thoughtly, with customers seeing close rates jump from 16% to 38% on their lowest-rated leads.
This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to build for a $1T annual market. Voice was just the beginning — Thoughtly is building the first fully autonomous CRM. It doesn't just track work — it does the work. The system of record becomes the system of action. This seed-stage rocket ship is backed by top investors like Armory Square Ventures, Afore, and Greycroft.
About the role
We're looking for a Founding Product Manager to own how Thoughtly shows up in the market — the positioning, the narrative, the competitive edge that turns prospects into believers.
This role will be the connective tissue between customers, engineering, design, sales, and leadership. You'll be the voice of the customer internally, a key partner to our engineering team as we prioritize and ship, and the person who translates Thoughtly's vision into the product decisions that define the category. You'll work directly with the founding team on hard, unsolved AI product problems: UX for building autonomous agents, real-time conversation intelligence, and the trust required to let AI take action on behalf of revenue teams.
This is a highly impactful, high-ownership role with real influence over our product roadmap, platform strategy, and long-term direction. If you've been a founder or aspire to be one, we especially want to talk to you.
What You'll DoLive in your customers' world.Customer empathy is the foundation of everything we build. The people using Thoughtly are sales reps, RevOps leaders, and growth teams trying to convert inbound leads before the window closes — and the end consumers on the other side of those calls have real frustrations, high stakes decisions, and zero patience for a bad experience.
You'll talk to customers constantly — not to gather requirements, but because you genuinely want to understand how they think, where they feel friction, and what a win looks like to them. You'll ride along on sales calls. You'll listen to call recordings. You'll be the person in the room who can immediately translate a customer's complaint into a crisp product insight. That deep empathy — combined with a clear view of what our platform can and can't do and where the competitive landscape is moving — is how you'll figure out where to invest.
When you're close enough to customers, the right problems find you.
Multiply the team.Remove blockers before they become blockers. Nail launch plans so what ships actually gets adopted. De-risk decisions early. Keep everyone aligned without bureaucracy. The team should be accelerated by you, not waiting on you. Most importantly: Use AI to build prototypes.
Keep pace with AI-native development.Conversation AI is moving weekly. Designs still take time. Customer feedback loops still take time. Your job is to compress every non-engineering cycle so we have extraordinary velocity end-to-end — not just in the codebase. Expect to reinvent how you work.
Ship product end-to-end.Spec it, build it with engineering, test it with customers, launch it, measure it, iterate. Own the metrics — conversation completion rates, lead conversion lift, agent utilization, expansion revenue. Think about what makes someone upgrade, not just what makes someone sign up. Write a PRD when it's useful; skip it and ship a prototype when it's not.
Set the quality bar.Every conversation our agents have is a first impression for our customers' brands. You'll QA flows personally — not because no one else will, but because that's how you catch what needs to be better. Push for the polish that makes Thoughtly feel like it was built by people who care. Low-ego. If something needs doing, it's yours.
Go broad and deep.Thoughtly serves multiple high-consideration consumer verticals — real estate, insurance, legal, mortgage, education, and more. Develop real understanding across buyer types and use cases while going deep enough in each to build things that actually solve specific problems.
You'll Thrive Here If You:5+ years as a PM, engineer, or founder. You've taken a product from "we think there's something here" to "customers pay for this and renew." Comfortable with ambiguity, structured without a playbook.
Excellent taste: you notice the details — the copy, the flow, the naming, the speed. You can point to products you admire and articulate specifically why they're great. You want to build products people love, not just products that function.
Obsessed with the customer. You can't build what you don't feel. You proactively seek out customer conversations — not because someone asked you to, but because you genuinely want to understand how they think. You listen to call recordings on your own time. You feel the friction before the data shows it. And you carry that empathy into every product decision, from naming to pricing to flow.
Power user of AI - using tools daily and understand the ecosystem
Metrics-driven. You define success quantitatively. You know which feature-level signals matter and how they ladder to ARR. You back convictions with data and customer insight.
Maniacal about outcomes. You don't wait to be told what to do. You find what matters, execute, and hold yourself accountable. Process is a tool, not a crutch.
Willingness to do whatever the team needs: support, testing, ticket cleanup, customer calls.
B2B / enterprise experience, ideally selling to sales, revenue, or GTM buyers.
You've built or scaled a horizontal platform across multiple verticals
Experience at world-class enterprise product orgs (e.g., Gong, Ramp, Stripe, Outreach).
Compensation
Thoughtly's compensation package includes a competitive base salary benchmarked against real-time market data, as well as equity for all full-time roles. We also offer exceptional benefits. Our compensation range for this role is: $150,000 – $190,000. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other factors.

What We Do
Thoughtly is the voice-first AI GTM platform that helps revenue teams convert warm leads at the speed the internet actually moves. Most businesses only work the “top 10%” of inbound demand because human teams can’t keep up. Thoughtly makes the other 90% reachable. Our AI agents call, text, qualify, answer questions, collect structured data, and hand off to a human at the exact right moment—seconds after a lead comes in, not hours later. Teams use Thoughtly for: • Speed-to-lead follow-up (inbound + paid leads) • Qualification + routing (book meetings, transfer to reps, capture details) • Lead reactivation and “no-show / no-answer” recovery • High-consideration B2C and B2B motions (education, insurance, healthcare, automotive, consumer legal, and more) What makes it work: real-time conversations with human-like voices, deterministic workflow logic, deep CRM integrations, and enterprise-grade reliability. Thoughtly integrates with tools like Salesforce/HubSpot, Twilio, Telnyx, and modern data stacks—so it fits into how RevOps teams already run. Our mission is simple: give every business the power to respond to every customer instantly, with a conversation that feels genuinely human.
Why Work With Us
Thoughtly is building a new category—Conversational GTM. You’ll ship fast, own outcomes, and work shoulder-to-shoulder with a tight NYC team solving real customer problems (and seeing results immediately).
