GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The GTC Deposits Specialist is responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of all deposit postings into IRA, Sinking Fund accounts and fee processing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Performs data entry for posting of all checks, ach, and wires received. This duty is performed daily.
2. Processes remote capture deposits. This duty is performed as needed.
3. Sets up bank drafts. This duty is performed as needed.
4. Reviews and reconciles daily balance. This duty is performed as needed.
5. Responsible for fee processing to include invoicing account fees, fee payments, and past due notices. This duty is performed as needed.
6. Reviews and analyzes reconciling reports. This duty is performed as needed.
7. Completes required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned. This duty is performed as needed.
8. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. This duty is performed daily.
9. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc, plus 7 to 11 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, notes, letters and memos; ability to write simple correspondence. ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence. ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization. ability to read, analyze, and understand general business/company related articles and professional journals; ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS
Ability to utilize common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral or diagrammed instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving several known variables in situations of a routine nature.
