As a GSOC Operator, you will play a critical role in safeguarding ACE’s employees and assets by monitoring, verifying, and responding to safety and security issues. Under the direction of the GSOC Supervisor, you will operate in a 24/7 GSOC environment, utilizing a variety of tools, including access control systems, alarm monitoring, open-source media, and internal resources, to identify, assess, and escalate incidents that may impact the organization. Responsibilities include real-time surveillance of multiple information streams, incident detection and analysis, and timely notification of relevant parties regarding risks such as severe weather, crime, technical failures, and breaking news events. Your vigilance and analytical skills help ensure the security and resilience of ACE enterprise.
What You’ll Do
You'll quickly assess and respond to emergencies with professionalism, while proactively monitoring multiple systems to detect emerging threats, notify stakeholders, and escalate risks as needed.
You'll be answering phone calls providing world-class customer service, assisting employees with safety and security concerns, and ensuring effective communication during routine operations and critical incidents.
You'll also monitor and operate security systems (access control, alarms, CCTV, and intelligence platforms) to detect, assess, and respond to a wide range of physical threats affecting people, property, operations, or brand and sometimes dispatch security personnel, notify emergency services as needed, and assist with cross team training.
You'll prepare reports, document activities, and follow standard procedures while investigating and responding to incidents—using proactive threat monitoring to alert stakeholders and escalate risks as appropriate.
You work independently and with minimal supervision, proactively monitoring open-source intelligence, social media, and global news to identify and escalate emerging threats to stakeholders.
What You’ll Need
To thrive in the role, you must have at least 1 year of security or alarm industry work experience in a professional setting.
You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to write clear, concise reports while delivering outstanding customer service.
You have experience following policies and procedures, writing technical procedures and reports with attention to accuracy and detail.
You have a strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
You have experience working with numerous information technology systems and programs simultaneously.
You’ll work independently and collaboratively and take initiative using problem-solving and adaptability to stay composed and effectively prioritize tasks in high-pressure situations.
You have a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
The GSOC is open 24/7/365. Operators must have the ability to work varied and irregular shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
The starting pay range for this position is:
$20.58 - $27.41Additionally, for full time positions, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
