Role Summary and Impact 

We have an exciting opportunity to join our newly evolved Growth & Marketing team based in London. The team focuses on local market opportunities. Working closely with our global growth teams and agency leadership to maximise growth opportunities  

As a WPP Media Growth VP, you will lead one half of the team, delivering the processes to win and retain key local client opportunities.  

You will be a seasoned new business professional, with significant experience with managing and leading local pitch opportunities and a successful track-record of managing and driving the deliverables for winning pitches.  

  • End to end running of a pitch process from RFI, to intermediary management, pitch design and internal set up as well as the final presentation and response.  
  • Project management of prospecting with key planning leads    
  • Support growth leadership in the largest pitch processes by leading on individual elements of that process, taking ownership of all deliverables, and managing the wider stakeholders    
  • Oversee the team on collation of RFI materials and ensure that all information is correct and signed off by the relevant stakeholder  
  • Work with design and production to develop high quality pitch ready artwork and video content for written responses and final pitch presentations    
  • Bringing together key stakeholders in the different disciplines from across the group to answer key pitch responses  
  • Producing detailed briefing documents for teams to ensure clear on the pitch asks, deliverables and deadlines  
  • Supporting on ensuring the WPP Media Winning Pitch Process is always implemented in full  
  • Ensure you use AI effectively to shortcut key tasks, support the teams on how to implement and ensure all process AI tasks are set up and actively used.  

In the first 100 days, you would have:  

  • Become fully accustomed to our network and agency propositions as well as our WPP Media Winning Pitch Process  
  • Become fully accustomed to our network and agency tool/tech solutions  
  • Developed strong collaborative relationships with the agency leaders as well as central functions at WPP Media  

In the first year, you would have:  

  • Built a strong network within WPP Media and its agencies, with full knowledge of best practice and have demonstrated leading a smooth and effective pitch processes  
  • Delivered multiple pitches processes with the pitching teams, with a strong pitch conversion rate, delivering high quality pitch output across all deliverables  
  • Successfully contributed towards the WPP Media UK annual new business targets and COMvergence rankings

  • Extensive background working in a senior media agency role either leading client teams or managing pitch processes  
  • Excellent project management skills, capable of managing multiple projects with competing priorities   
  • Ability to shape pitch output and ensure high quality output across any deliverables  
  • Know a killer idea when they see it in a pitch process and able to work with a team to develop how it shows up in the room  
  • Understands commercial models and requirements within the media agency landscape and able to feed into pitch commercials approach,  
  • Positive, can-do attitude and ability to keep teams motivated whilst working with them  
  • Proactive, flexible and organised, with strong attention to detail and a drive to win and to always improve  
  • Excellent written and verbal English language skills  
  • Mature, calm and confident when communicating to all levels, inside and outside of the business  
  • Ability to work independently and manage a team to deliver winning content within tight time frames  
  • High level collaboration skills with a wide range of stakeholders, organisations and WPP agencies
