Growth Strategy and Launch Manager - OnStar Canada
Description
This position is classified as a Hybrid position, meaning the successful candidate will work at our Markham and/or Oshawa office three (3) days per week.
The OnStar and Connected Services Team in Canada is responsible for growing GM's offerings of Software Enabled Services, in Canada, which are core to our future growth strategy. We are in the process of launching multiple new product offerings and looking to grow our member base through new customer acquisition strategies.
Key Responsibilities
This position is the lead for OnStar Canada's New Product launches and Revenue growth strategy. It plays a key role in the success of OnStar and Connected Services in Canada. Reporting to the National Manager, Sales & Marketing - OnStar, you will leverage your passion for connected services combined with your sales and marketing experience to develop and manage execution of marketing strategies for engagement and acquisition of customers with each new product launch. You will drive business results by developing Canadian specific go-to-market strategies and work with US counterparts to ensure marketing initiatives are optimized for Canadian consumers.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
- Collaborate with Product Managers to understand upcoming products/services and set priorities for acquisition targets given upcoming product development
- Develop a deep understanding of the Canadian competitive landscape and effectively position, price and communicate our new products to maximize consumer adoption
- Develop, manage and execute go-to-market initiatives and campaigns for new products in order to grow paying subscriber base
- Develop and execute innovative user acquisition strategy for all new products/services
- Lead the creation and maintenance of new product/services value proposition materials for marketing collateral (e.g. competitive comparisons; dealer toolkits, etc)
- Work cross functionally with the global OnStar Connected Services Sales/Marketing team to ensure Canadian alignment in new product campaigns
- Lead internal communication flow, serve as a liaison and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure flawless Canadian execution
- Partner with data and analytics leads to monitor acquisition results and use insights to develop countermeasures/plans to acquire new customers
- Lead and strategize the roll-out of the all new OnStar digital product catalogue
- Liase with the vehicle brands (Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Cadillac and Brightdrop) on key digital initiatives and projects that supplement OnStar as their key ingredient brand
- Develop a holistic view of OnStar customers wants and needs to develop regional requirements.
- Embrace go-to-market strategies for all digital channels, including Mobile App, Owner Center and IHU.
Qualifications
- Post Secondary Education required - University degree preferred (Bachelor of Commerce / Business with major in Marketing an asset)
- 5+ years of experience working in a product and marketing function
- Ability to easily transition from high level strategic thinking to creative and detailed execution.
- Prior field experience an asset
