This role will support the leadership of our Global Marketing Agenda through

vision, high business acumen and leadership skills.

Through engagement with senior internal and external partners the role has the opportunity to support key initiatives in pladis’ global marketing agenda.

The incumbent must have clear passion, energy and drive and the ability to engage and influence key stakeholders, on our ambitious journey.

As a Marketing Manager you will support the development and the implementation of global brand strategies, working with our regional teams to build growth plans and above all building leading brands that people talk about! 

What will be your key deliverables?  

  • The purpose of this role is to help build exciting new brand platforms to achieve growth
  • To support the launch of new global product platforms through the establishment of defined central frameworks; facilitating local activation
  • To help build marketing capabilities through our global Marketing Academy [from design to implementation]
  • To support entries into new markets and geographies
  • To work on Global brand platform ideas
  • To Understand category-specific landscapes and trends and develop future plans accordingly
  • Contribute as a key member of the Growth Office Team playing a strong role in supporting commercial growth opportunities
  • Where appropriate manage agency partners for success.
  • Working very closely with our Innovation team, contribute strongly to the development of innovation platforms and pipeline for brand – ensuring consumer insight is at the forefront.
  • Form strong working relationships with technical development and supply chain on the development of brand renovation projects.
  • Influence key partners, internationally, to support initiatives and ensure brand support.

What do you need for this role? 

Essential 

Core capabilities

  • A minimum of 5-10 years experience [ideally some of it international]
  • Demonstratable career progression
  • Strong influencing, communication skills and personal impact to gain credibility quickly with senior stakeholders across the business. The incumbent needs to be able to act as a credible partner to our Commercial Regions.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills – the ability to promote decisions and to prioritise delivery in a complex matrix environment
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to work the details
  • Degree educated or equivalent experience 

Role specific capabilities

  • Sound Marketing experience within FMCG, having demonstrated the ability to manage a sophisticated portfolio 
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services as well as to position products against competitors
  • Has a passion for consumer centricity and developing consumer centric plans
  • Marketing experience required in senior marketing positions, ideally supported by commercial experience in other functions. 
  • A consumer champion, demonstrating the ability to use consumer insight into opportunity 
  • Multimedia comms campaign development & agency management experience 
  • Capable and experienced in developing strong commercial plans with a demonstrated ability in understanding key levers to drive profitable growth and demonstrate opportunities 
  • The ability to develop long term growth strategies whilst also tackling short term opportunities 
  • The ability to deliver the brand strategy in year, reviewing performance on a regular basis, taking remedial action where required
  • A strong teammate and the ability to influence at all levels
  • Strong people and team development skills 

Qualifications

  • University or similar qualification – essential
  • MBA – desirable
