The Role: 

We are seeking a strategic and driven Growth Manager, Brokers & Advisors, to lead the growth of Medcan’s Partner Channel. This role is focused on building and managing relationships with group benefits advisors, consultants, and brokerages across Ontario. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping Medcan’s employer group strategy by expanding our reach through trusted partners.  
 
This is a high-impact, business development role ideal for someone with deep experience in the group benefits ecosystem and a passion for building scalable, partner-led growth strategies.  

 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Channel Development: Build and execute a partner strategy to grow Medcan’s presence within the advisor, consultant, and brokerage community.  

  • Partner Acquisition: Identify, engage, and onboard new partners who align with Medcan’s value proposition and growth objectives.  

  • Relationship Management: Cultivate strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders to drive referrals and revenue growth. 

  • Sales Execution: Own the full sales cycle from partner-led lead generation to closing, in collaboration with internal teams.  

  • Market Intelligence: Stay current on industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes to inform strategy and positioning.  

  • Enablement & Support: Collaborate with marketing to develop partner enablement tools, training, and co-branded materials.  

  • Performance Tracking: Maintain a robust pipeline and report on KPIs using CRM tools.   

  • Strategic Input: Provide feedback to leadership on partner needs, market gaps, and opportunities to evolve Medcan’s group offering.  

 

What You’ll Need: 

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, channel development, or business development within the group benefits, insurance, or health & wellness industry.  

  • Proven success working with group benefits advisors, consultants, or brokerages.  

  • Strong understanding of the Canadian group benefits landscape and employer health trends.  

  • Demonstrated ability to build and scale partner ecosystems.  

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.  

  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset.  

  • Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.  

  • Ability to use PowerPoint.   

  • CEBS designation or other industry certifications considered an asset.  

  • Willingness to travel within Ontario as needed for partner meetings.  

 

This is a full-time position that is scheduled primarily during business hours Monday through Friday, and will report to the Director, Growth.

Position Pay Range

Pay range based on projected On-Target Earnings for year one of employment.

$130,000 - $160,000 annual

The compensation range provided in this posting reflects a projected estimate for the first year of employment and includes base salary plus anticipated variable commission earnings. Actual commission will vary based on individual performance, team targets, and business conditions. Over time, commission earnings may grow as the employee gains experience, builds client relationships, and achieves performance milestones. This projection is not a guarantee of future earnings and should be viewed as an illustrative example based on current compensation models.​
