We’re hiring a Growth Engineer to help us scale the channels, systems, and workflows that are already working.
This is not an SDR role, and it is not a purely technical engineering role either. It sits somewhere between growth strategy, outbound execution, inbound optimization, sales research, GTM operations, AI workflow building, and early-stage problem solving.
You’ll work directly with the Growth Principal to improve how we identify the right companies, understand the right buyers, personalize outreach, support SDR workflows, improve inbound conversion, automate repetitive processes, and build new growth channels as Daptic prepares for its next stage.
The ideal person is a builder with a strong understanding of outbound and inbound: what makes campaigns work, how to identify the right accounts and buyers, how to test messaging, how to convert interest into qualified opportunities, and how to use data to improve performance over time. You should be excited to turn that understanding into systems, workflows, and automations that help the team move faster and operate with more leverage.
We are looking for someone who can come up with creative solutions, push the art of the possible, and build things where they do not already exist. In this role, you will often be working in areas where there is no perfect playbook yet. The right person will be comfortable taking messy problems, finding a practical path forward, and turning ideas into repeatable systems.
You do not need to be a traditional software engineer, but you should be comfortable using modern AI tools, navigating an IDE, working with tools like Claude Code, and building lightweight automations with platforms like n8n, Clay, Airtable, Salesforce, or similar systems.
What You’ll DoOptimize existing outbound and inbound growth channels that are already producing results.
Research ways to improve prospecting, targeting, messaging, conversion, SDR efficiency, and inbound qualification.
Help identify and vet high-fit prospects across regulatory, compliance, product, safety, quality, and engineering teams.
Support SDRs with prospect research, account qualification, messaging, workflow improvements, and initial calls.
Improve how inbound leads are captured, enriched, qualified, routed, and converted into sales opportunities.
Build and improve internal workflows that help the growth team move faster and operate with more leverage.
Use AI tools to automate repetitive research, enrichment, routing, reporting, and outreach-support tasks.
Help design lightweight systems across tools like n8n, Clay, Airtable, Salesforce, Google Sheets, and other GTM platforms.
Use tools like Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, and Cursor-style workflows to prototype processes, improve internal tools, and speed up execution.
Create new workflows, systems, and processes where none currently exist.
Come up with creative solutions to ambiguous GTM problems and turn them into practical experiments.
Push the art of the possible around how AI, automation, and data can improve the growth motion.
Partner with the Growth Principal on new growth channel experiments as the company scales.
Translate customer, market, regulatory, and performance data into practical growth ideas.
Help test, document, and improve growth workflows so the team can do more with less.
1–3+ years of experience in growth, sales, SDR, GTM, consulting, investment banking, operations, or a similar high-output role. Early-stage startup experience is a plus.
A builder mindset: you like creating systems, automating messy workflows, and figuring out how to make teams faster.
Strong understanding of outbound fundamentals, including account selection, buyer research, messaging, sequencing, personalization, and conversion.
Strong understanding of inbound fundamentals, including lead qualification, routing, enrichment, conversion, follow-up, and funnel improvement.
Comfort using data to understand what is working, identify bottlenecks, and improve performance over time.
Ability to come up with creative solutions when there is not an obvious answer or existing process.
Excitement about building things from scratch, testing new ideas, and turning messy problems into usable systems.
Comfort using AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, or similar tools to research, write, build, debug, and automate.
Comfort navigating an IDE or technical environment, even if you are not a traditional software engineer.
Experience or interest in workflow automation tools like n8n, Zapier, Make, Airtable, Clay, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
Demonstrated ability to take an idea from zero to one without needing a lot of hand-holding.
Strong research skills and the ability to quickly understand complex industries, buyers, and ICPs.
Comfort working with ambiguity, imperfect information, and fast-changing priorities.
Willingness to support both strategy and execution.
Strong written communication skills, especially for clear, direct business messaging.
Interest in B2B SaaS, AI, regulatory intelligence, manufacturing, or enterprise software.
Enough commercial instinct to understand what makes a company, buyer, workflow, or message high-quality.
Experience building or maintaining GTM workflows across CRM, enrichment, sequencing, reporting, lead routing, or research systems.
Experience using Clay, Salesforce, Apollo, Instantly, Smartlead, Airtable, n8n, or similar GTM and automation tools.
Basic familiarity with APIs, webhooks, scripts, prompt engineering, or data enrichment workflows.
Prior experience at an early-stage startup or in a role where you had to build processes from scratch.
Experience supporting outbound, inbound, demand generation, sales operations, RevOps, or growth experiments.
We care a lot about how this person works. The ideal person is:
High-agency: You don’t wait around for perfect instructions. You figure out what needs to happen and move.
Builder-minded: You naturally look for ways to turn repetitive work into systems, workflows, automations, or tools.
Creative problem-solver: You can come up with practical, original solutions when there is no obvious path forward.
Comfortable building from zero: You do not need a perfect process to get started. You can create the first version, test it, and improve it.
Commercially sharp: You understand what makes an account, buyer, campaign, message, or inbound lead worth prioritizing.
Data-oriented: You use performance data to understand what is working, what is not, and where to improve.
Fast-learning: You can ramp quickly on the product, the market, the sales motion, the tools, and the regulatory landscape.
Technical enough to be dangerous: You may not be an engineer, but you are comfortable experimenting with AI tools, automation tools, and technical workflows.
Low-ego: You’re open to feedback, happy to learn, and willing to change your mind.
Scrappy: You’re willing to do the unglamorous work required to make something work.
Thoughtful: You care about doing good work and making the people around you better.
Fun and kind to work with: We’re building something hard, so attitude matters.
Why you’ll love working at Daptic
Big impact, early stage: You’ll shape how we go to market and directly influence Daptic’s trajectory.
Customers solving urgent problems: We work with household names facing massive regulatory complexity and we’re helping them solve it with AI.
A sharp, humble team: We believe in high standards, candid collaboration, and celebrating wins.
Fun environment: We’re building something important, but we also make it a point to enjoy the ride, from offsites to team dinners in NYC.
