Growth Automation Engineer

Full-Time | Remote (Latin America) | US Pacific-Overlap Hours

About the Role

We need an engineer who understands what moves customer acquisition cost and lifetime value, and can actually build the systems that move them. This isn't a marketing role — it's a backend and automation engineering role sitting inside a live revenue operation, replacing spreadsheets and manual handoffs with real software.

If you've spent time in both worlds — writing the code and caring about whether the funnel actually converts — you'll feel at home here. We move fast, ship rough versions first, and fix them in production rather than waiting for a perfect plan.

A Note Before You Apply

Along with your resume, answer this in two or three sentences: describe one automation or integration you built that broke in production. What went wrong, and how did you find out? We read this before anything else — it tells us more than a skills list ever could.

What You'd Actually Work On

  • Sorting the good leads from the noise: figuring out which accounts look like real buyers from messy raw data, and building the logic that turns that judgment into an action a salesperson can act on.

  • Reaching people at scale without spamming them: running outbound across several channels at once, with tests running in the background so we know what's actually working, and a way to notice when someone replies.

  • Making sure emails actually land: the unglamorous plumbing — authentication records, warmup schedules, bounce handling — done right so nothing above it silently fails.

  • Replacing manual GTM grunt work with real automation: taking the research and outreach steps a human currently does by hand, and rebuilding them as something that runs on its own, reliably, for the whole team — not just a personal script.

  • Connecting ad spend to pipeline: tying what happens on LinkedIn and Google ads back to what actually turns into revenue downstream, and automating the boring parts of running those campaigns.

  • Winning the inbound moment: making sure we show up when people search or ask an AI assistant a question, and that whoever responds gets routed and answered fast.

What We're Looking For

  • A real technical background — you've shipped and maintained software that other people depended on, whether that's software engineering, data engineering, or a similar hands-on role.

  • You write working code (Python or JavaScript) and know your way around the unglamorous parts of integration work: APIs, webhooks, authentication, handling failures gracefully.

  • You've actually built things on n8n, Zapier, or Clay — not just clicked through someone else's template.

  • You've used Claude, GPT, or Gemini to build something on your own, because you wanted to, not because a course told you to.

  • You'd rather ship something rough today and fix it tomorrow than spend a week polishing a plan.

  • You don't need a marketing background, but you should genuinely want to know why a funnel converts — this role sits inside the business, not next to it.

  • Comfortable working in English, with enough overlap with US Pacific hours to collaborate in real time.

Also useful, not required

  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Snowflake, or BigQuery.

  • Time at an early-stage startup building things from nothing.

What You Get

  • A full-time role, paid in USD, with benefits.

  • Monthly live sessions with senior operators from US tech companies.

  • A community of engineers working on this same class of problem.

  • Room to grow as the network grows.

At The Global Talent Co., our mission is to bridge the gap between leading global tech companies and amazing global talent. We believe everyone deserves equal access to opportunities, regardless of the country they are born in.

Skills Required

  • Technical background in software engineering, data engineering, or a technical IC role with production systems shipped
  • Proficient coding skills in Python or JavaScript
  • Experience building and consuming REST APIs, webhooks, and OAuth flows with proper rate limiting and error handling
  • Experience shipping real automations on platforms like n8n, Zapier, or Clay (beyond configuring templates)
  • Hands-on experience building with LLMs (Claude, GPT, Gemini)
  • Familiarity with email deliverability practices (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), domain warmup, and bounce handling
  • Bias toward action; comfortable delivering prototypes and iterating under ambiguity
  • Genuine interest in growth and funnel conversion metrics (CAC/LTV mindset)
  • Strong written and spoken English and willingness to work US Pacific-overlap hours
  • Knowledge of the Salesforce data model
  • Experience with Snowflake or BigQuery
  • Prior high-growth startup experience building systems from scratch
