As the first embedded analyst on the Member Growth team, you’ll help build out reporting, set up and evaluate experiments, and support leadership with forecasting and modeling of our full demand generation funnel. You’ll regularly parse data from multiple sources in order to share actionable insights and influence strategic deployment of resources to maximize growth and minimize CAC.

You’ll work closely with our AAA (Advanced Analytics and AI) team, doing some technical training with them, before deploying fully into the Member Growth team. Your day to day work will introduce you to teammates across Member Growth, both operational/technical and client-facing, as well as AAA, along with occasional exposure to other teams like finance, commercial, etc.

Responsibilities
  • Learn and navigate Virta’s core data systems, particularly those used by Member Growth team, and be able to aggregate data from various sources to form an integrated POV and generate net-new insights on the business.

  • Conduct analyses requested by Growth leadership, with occasional guidance from the AAA team and other analysts, while building analytical competency and autonomy within the Growth team

  • Maintain, update, and suggest improvements to existing dashboards, reports, and data pipelines

  • Drive forecasting by aggregating inputs, validating outputs, and tuning the model - eventually owning future revisions and accuracy of the model

  • Own experimentation setup, tracking, and results summaries

  • Surface data irregularities, trends, and insights for review with leads and senior team members; propose short-term solutions and scope multi-quarter plans

Must-Haves
  • Strong intrinsic motivation - desire to improve every system / input / output you touch

  • Deep curiosity - desire to understand the business context behind every analysis

  • Affinity for data - ability to pull from disparate sources and draw impactful, accurate conclusions

  • Comfort with technical tools/languages - Looker, Big Query, SQL, Python, etc.

  • Advanced degree in analytics or data-related field

  • Strong initiative and ownership - act on problems you encounter, without waiting for direction (but checking in along the way)

  • 3+ years of experience in a fast-moving, high-growth startup or similar environment

As part of your duties at Virta, you may come in contact with sensitive patient information that is governed by HIPAA. Throughout your career at Virta, you will be expected to follow Virta's security and privacy procedures to ensure our patients' information remains strictly confidential. Security and privacy training will be provided.

Virta has a location based compensation structure. Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. For this role, the compensation range is $95,700 - $110,577 per year. Information about Virta’s benefits is on our Careers page at: https://www.virtahealth.com/careers.
